The rapidly expanding Jordanian capital, Amman is an economic powerhouse spread over various hills. Atop one sits the Citadel, containing remains of the Roman Temple of Hercules, a Byzantine church and an 8th-century mosque and palace.
Also here is the Jordan Archaeological Museum, and at the foot of the hill is a Roman theatre, part built in the rock. Modern housing blocks surround it, but the most avant-garde architecture is in the developing Al Abdali business district.
The tallest Amman structures will be the Jordan Gate Towers and will house one of the city’s high-rise hotels. International brands of restaurants and bar can be found alongside more traditional cuisine in Amman, and many eateries are in the large Mecca Mall and Grand City Mall, which also has a cinema.
Nearby is the desert-like vegetation of Al Hussein National Park, and the Royal Automobile Museum which features cars of King Hussein, ruler for over 40 years and after whom are named city sights such as the King Hussein Business Park and mosque. The King Abdullah I Mosque has a beautiful blue dome, while Abu Darweesh Mosque at Amman’s highest point is a striking black-and-white structure.
Booking.com’s Amman accommodation includes 5-star hotels, apartments in the embassy district, and cheap hostels, all within easy reach of Queen Alia Airport.

Amman is ok for business trips, but if you need site seeing you got to go out of Amman. I haven't not experience the night life though to be fair, but I heard it is entertaining depends on your interests if you know what I mean.

A bustling capital with some interesting roads. Drivers like to honk their horn most of the time! I guess because of the congested traffic state.
Old downtown is very nice and offer a great reflection of the Jordanian culture and personality.

Lack of recognizable food chains posed challenging food-searches but overall situation can be manageable. Traffic can be considered an issue and driving in Amman might be tricky (stick to uber / careem apps).
it’s was really bad experience to meet this hotel team they don’t respect you and specialty the man work in reservation
I will not stay there any more
and please you are came here to jordan to be happy in your holiday you are not coming to try hotel and see what is the best

The W Amman hotels exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed the time to the most from the check in till checking out. The reciption is faster than I could imagine.
The room was luxurious and clean and tidy. The bathroom and self-cating products where top notch.
The View from the room and outside corridors was unmatched with anything.
Difinitly it was the most enjoyable experience in my life. Keeping in mind I visited plenty of 5 stars hotels around the world. You will not meet such a great hospitality and smiles.
My husband and I have stayed at this hotel many times and often for extended periods of time. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff are extremely helpful and cheerful at all times. We make it a point to stay here when we come to Amman as the value for money is the best we have found. Yes, it is not a 5 star hotel but it is so comfortable and welcoming that there is no reason to stay anywhere else. We have tried staying at other hotels within the same price range and they simply do no measure up.
The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in, and high quality service.I have stayed at dozen of hotels. This was on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever. Staff was very hospitable and there for every need of mine. Overall, I had a great experience with staff was incredibly helpful, Thank you so much Hiba for the fantastic hospitality and the great service. Thumps up you truly rock🌹
It’s a pleasant stay in Amman but quite far from downtown yet it’s located in quite neighborhood. The rooms are clean but our room smelled cigarette at the time we checked in. The receptionist also gave my parent’s room an upgrade which is truly appreciated. The chef during breakfast was kind and accommodating. We also had a chance to meet the GM of hotel which is a friend of our driver/guide in Jordan. Relatively good place to stay in Amman.
We had a balcony with a nice view of one of the landmarks of Amman the King Abdullah I mosque. The hotel is close to Abdali Boulevard and Abdali mall two posh options for going out in the capital of Jordan
The staff was kind and as we had to live the next day at 02 pm they allowed us to do a late check out
The hotel has a swimming pool and a Spa center I think the Spa you have to pay extra but I am not sure
The breakfast was good
Excellent Stay at MAMAYA Hotel in Downtown Amman, Jordan
I had an exceptional experience at MAMAYA Hotel in downtown Amman. The hostel was clean, safe, and conveniently located near transportation options and downtown. The owners were friendly their kids are lovely. provided valuable recommendations for exploring the city. I highly recommend MAMAYA Hostel for its cleanliness, convenient location, and welcoming atmosphere."
This is the third time at Zaman Ya Zaman and every time I go I see how the owner keep upgrading this hotel and take care of it so I will continue book with them and I think it’s the best motel for the price and the location in downtown Amman very comfortable bed, delicious breakfast and so big, the location(center of downtown Amman ), stuff were very helpful, I love the upgraded room and the nice view to amphitheater.
The staff were very helpful, and the location was great.
The hotel was very close to lots of interesting things in Amman.
When we decided to leave early, the hotel offered us a free nights stay and an upgraded room. They were very pleasant and apologetic, and they also acted relatively quickly to address the noise situation during our stay, which we appreciated. All in all, a very nice staff who did their best.
The receptionist Mohammad Al Attar was amazing! So friendly, professional and helpful and he made our stay awesome! He gave us free dinner and the food was just amazing. Hamad was very nice and smiling too and i believe this is one of the best hotels you can book in Amman. New rooms, outstanding service, delicious food and great location. I plan to stay in Monarch Hotel in every visit to Amman. Keep it up!
We stayed in the Retaj hotel for one night at the end of our trip to Jordan. Although it is a short 15 minute drive from the historic centre of Amman we were closer in location to the airport. The room was spotless and had beautiful decor. The breakfast was plentiful and had a variety of options and the staff were welcoming and kind. Overall 10/10 for room, price and stay!
We had a great start to Jordan at Sandra Hotel. These guys organized a seamless airport transfer for us, provided lots of information about Amman (ask for the WhatsApp text with all the recommendations), and gave us a nice Jordanian breakfast of bread, hummus, fuul, falafel and coffee/tea. Any question we had about Jordan was happily answered!
Fantastic hotel, from the moment you walk in (entrance is built to resemble Petra). The stafff is super friendly. the rooms are trendy and fun (not your average hotel room) with an amazing view of Amman. Also nice that in your room the put a selection of traditional Jordanese sweets. Breakfast was amazing, high quality and so many options.
Location is in the heart of Abdali Area, 2 minutes walking from Abdali Mall and Boulevard.. 5 minutes taxi drive to downtown.
Great staff, one of the best experiences in hotels.
The room is spacious and clean, with great value for money. Highly recommended ! not less than 5 stars' hotel experience.
the staff was pretty good especially Samah from the dining room, she cared about us a lot and she was the best employee in all of the hotel as well as the cleanness of the hotel was amazing, i would recommend to my family and freinds to stay in amman paradise hotel .
One of the best hotel in Amman. Very good location! Very close to many spots. Clean and with comfortable bed. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. I like their 24 hours free coffee/tea, chocolates and juice at the lobby😍Highly recommended this hotel!
Location is perfect, all main sights of Amman are in walking distance. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, maybe the best during our 2weeks journey in Jordan. The hotel is really clean.
