Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, the peaceful location was a really great change of pace from being in the cities, and Mr. Ram helped to organize our safaris, driver for our departure, etc. We basically arrived, and from there we were completely taken care of. The Araiya Hotel is located in a beautiful forest area, across a river in Palampur, HP. It is a sprawling property well laid-out with stunning views of the mountains. The views from the rooms are absolutely wonderful esp at sunrise and sunset. The property also has a large garden with benches and hammocks, also with a lovely view of the hills. Rooms : Rooms are well designed and high quality furnishings and fittings have been used, very classy and thoughtful. We chose the Suite which had 3 levels, the ground level had a large sitting room, the 2nd level 2 bedrooms with attached bath and a large balcony and a third room in the attic also with attached bath - while there were only 4 of us, the apartment could accomodate 6 pax. The hotel has a nice old-world-charm Bar called the 'Old fox' which overlooks the pool and an outdoor seating area. The meals are served in the restaurant which had a good variety of food for Dinner and breakfast. Service in the restaurant was also very efficient. All in all, if you are looking for a luxury hotel with the beauty of nature and solitude, this hotel cannot be missed.

Smile plays a leading role here. Kitchen chef always around with a big smile and how he cooks, omg! There is a saying in hour country when food is delicious: "Even angles would eat this!" Such a variety of meals and all delicious. I loved the Spa treatments too.
