Casa Pepe is a restored 17th-century colonial mansion, situated 100 metres from Puebla’s main square and cathedral. The staff at check-in were excellent! They spoke English and helped me in many ways during my stay. One clerk checked prices and called a cab to take me to Cholula. Another figured out a way to charge my phone. They all showed excellent customer service skills.

Offering suites surrounded by patios, Hotel Boutique Casareyna is set in a charming 17th-century house. Located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Puebla, it features a restaurant and art gallery. I felt like a princess in this beautiful grand hacienda during my weekend stay. My room was huge and tastefully designed with light wood furniture and pretty carpets, high ceilings, and a large bathroom which felt very pampering after a day of wandering about in the heat in Puebla. The food at the hotel was excellent and the staff super friendly, helping me with my suitcase and arranging taxis.
