Located in the heart of the Vallée de la Loire and its famous castles, Hotel Castel Fleuri offers a warm and friendly welcome in a charming house set in a peaceful residential district of Tours. We wanted a hotel a bit outside the town center, with a secure place for our car, and found just that, but we also found so much more. This is a quite family hotel, run by the most welcoming and friendly staff, from the women who welcomed us when we arrived to the owner couple serving us the best French breakfast you can desire. We were just driving through, and stayed just one night, but if you want to explore the Loire valley, Castel Fleuri in Tours is the place for you. We will return and do that!

Very friendly staff and the breakfast in the morning was amazing. They also had a cute little lounge where you can relax with your family.

My advice is to travel to the outlying villages as well as the main centres to meet the producers, find different interpretations and great value wine. In Chavignol, there is a cheese maker who produces the perfect compliment for the wine.

The center of town is very pretty, with charming and interesting Tudor architecture. Bourges has an impressive cathedral, and is a good town to walk around. Beware of getting lost in the maze of small streets! There are some very good restaurants and bars in town, and town centre shopping is lively.

The centre is mall enough to walk round but outside of the centre has every facility one would expect. The Chateux in and around are the main draw of course, and do not disappoint.

Stayed with colleagues for 3 nights. Rooms basic, but clean. Stairs to reception quite dangerous with lights coming on when you are already in the staircase. Breakfast was OK, with most essentials. A good 3 *, but not at the rated 4* level. Night reception staff, breakfast staff friendly . Location good for business travellers.

Location is right in the heart of the old town so very convenient for all major sites. The centre is very busy but the room was nevertheless extremely quiet. Very friendly and informative welcome and the room itself, whilst not large, was more than adequate and clean and freshly decorated. Breakfast was both good and good value. If you want to stay right in the centre (which will require parking some 200m away in a secure car park) I would highly recommend Hotel l’Addresse.

The staff at reception (Giovani) was extremely helpful. He speaks fluent French, Spanish and English and helped us to find a 'mobile mechanic' for our car. Location of Hotel is on busy road around the corner from the station, but noise level was less then expected. The city centre and cathedral are about 10 minutes walk. Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was excellent. We will certainly return.

Hotel not too far from the centre though we didn't venture far as only an overnight stop on our way to Bergerac. Would recommend this hotel & will stay here again.

Location of this hotel absolutely best. Just beside a supermarket, river side and close to the centre to name a few. There is a standing fan available in the apartments. All in all a comfy stay.
