Close to the centre of Saumur, the hotel Anne D'Anjou is overlooking the river and has a view of the chateau above. Fab room, especially with two young daughters - gave us our privacy, whilst still having them close. Gorgeous spa bath which was very much appreciated! Great meal at the Michelin restaurant adjacent to the hotel. Awesome breakfast the next day - something for everyone. Great castle to explore up the hill. Friendly, helpful staff.

Situated in Saumur, 3.7 km from Saumur Train Station, Château La Comtesse de Loire & Spa features accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. Nothing was too much trouble - requests were dealt with immediately. Everything was top quality. The interior was stunning - all original features have been maintained. More like staying in a private house than a hotel. The grounds were lovely and very well maintained. Parking was easy. Staff were super helpful.

Everything, the château, all the rooms (we booked 3 different rooms), the breakfast and special thanks to the young and friendly boy staff who was so ever helpful and polite (more enthusiastic than other lady staff)! The materials and quality of the renovation were impressive too and nicely furnished. Will definitely stay again in future. Despite its slightly higher end price, definitely worth the visit!

Fabulous location next to the Parc Oriental (which we visited). Room was ready early and had a view over the park. Free entry to the Chateau vegetable garden, which was very worth seeing. Excellent restaurant. Breakfast OK but not special for the cost. Parking very close to the building with easy access to the rooms by a lift. Nice period decor to room, with modern bathroom.

Breakfast was OK, Dinner excellent! Location superb. Beautiful grounds around the castle. In the wonderful sitting room we could self take our drinks. We plan to come back for certain!

Demeure de la Vignole is a 17th century residence located in the Loire Valley. It offers an indoor heated swimming pool carved into the rock, just 5 km from Fontevraud Abbey. This hotel was phenomenal, and I wish we could've stayed longer. The room we had was built into a cave, and it was by far the best sleep I had my entire trip (the room was cool and quite). It was so nice to be able to take a dip in the pool (also in a cave!) during the hot afternoons. The proprietor had great recommendations for restaurants and activities. The breakfast was delicious.

Hôtel Anne d’Anjou is very well located in the center of Saumur, close to the Castle and the city center. You can park your car in front of the Hotel and everything is at walking distance. The bedroom is very comfortable and I highly recommend the bathroom. The staff is very friendly, polite and professional. The must is the breakfast with a large choice of savoury and sweet food. Great choice of Viennoiserie and cheese.

I chose a cabin to stay and it was a great choise. I washed my clothes and got them dried in the sunshine. The restaurant was really good, I recommend. My food intolerances were taken seriously, so no tummy problems. Food was really really good. A haven in a lush garden after a hot day on the trail.

Decent room, heated pool for the kids, jacuzzi was great. Staff very accomodating, and excellent breakfast ! We had dinner at the brasserie which was also really good with really nice staff. for families with kids: there is an outdoor play area inside the restaurant. My husband had a massage which he really liked.

It's an amazing place. Lots of activities for kids and families. The kids loved all the activities and they were always busy. For breakfast, you can order croissants the previous night and pick them up after 8am in the morning. Very good croissants. And we ordered there every morning. For dinner, the pizzeria is very good, lots of good selection and choice. For activities, there are boardgames, foosball (baby foot), bike rentals, swimming pools, playground and a lot more.
