In short, everything. This was one of the best hotel experiences I've had in 40 years of traveling. The care that the staff - Romina, Katherine, and Antonia - provided was sincere and above and beyond anything I've experienced before. They accommodated my need for a gluten-free breakfast every day. They accommodated my need for cooling due to my difficulties with heat. They were always pleasant and helpful.

Absolutely everything! The welcome was magical; we had a soft drink and a delicious piece of banana cake while the lady was explaining how the hotel works. The lobby, the garden, everything is absolutely beautiful. There are a lot of spots to read, relax and enjoy the life. You don’t feel like a client, but like a part of the family. At the end of your stay you get a little goodbye gift :) The room is absolutely perfect. So comfy, so cute, and the products in the bathroom are amazing too! Everything is perfectly clean. The hotel is well located; you are close to everything!

AC worked well. The bed and bedding were incredibly comfortable and I would wake up well-rested and ready for the day's adventures on this stunningly beautiful island. The breakfast was outstanding. Choice of pretty much everything you could want for breakfast. Alejandro made the coffees to perfection. The breakfast was so hearty that I didn't want anything for lunch. The grounds are extremely well-maintained and quite beautiful. Some of the fruit at your breakfast are courtesy of the fruit trees you will see on the grounds. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. They found out that it was my birthday and sang happy birthday for me at breakfast and gifted me with the most gorgeous necklace. Juan, at the reception area, deserves special mention for making my trip the best it could possibly be with many priceless tips about the incredible sites on the island. My trip would have been a lot less outstanding without his help. He also helped me to book a rental vehicle and organized prompt delivery of it. His English is impeccable. I highly recommend getting a rental vehicle. Driving there is uncomplicated. Waze and Google Maps don't always work - don't forget you're in one of the remotest places on Earth! But, not to worry, the people are very friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to help you find your destination. Such lovely, kind and welcoming folks! I'm a solo female traveler, with some mobility issues. I call 2 places "home"...The Republic of Trinidad & Tobago and The United States. The standards at this hotel are, on par with, and even higher than many places in the United States and Europe that fall into a similar price range. You definitely get your money's worth here.

Hotel & Apartments "CHEZ HIVA" er 3 stjörnu gististaður í Hanga Roa, í innan við 1 km fjarlægð frá Playa Pea. Boðið er upp á garð, verönd og veitingastað. We very much enjoyed our stay at Chez Hiva. It is conveniently located for the airport, and the Ahu Tahai moai and the main shopping area of Hanga Roa are both within easy walking distance. We rented the Maíka duplex apartment, which was spacious and comfortably furnished. Our check-in went smoothly and Lorena the host was very helpful throughout our stay. The property is gated, so feels safe, and there is ample roadside parking outside, which is handy if you have a rental car.

Located 15 minutes' walk from the city centre, 100 metres from Tahai ceremonial centre, and 800 metres from Pea beach, Pikera Uri offers rooms with sea views and free Wi-Fi in public areas in Hanga... My stay at this hotel was a delightful experience and a great stay. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, coupled with a beautiful garden made it truly special. The owner has plenty of horses which were brought in in the morning which was a stunning scenery to watch. The short walk to town added convenience without sacrificing the peaceful retreat vibe. Rooms were comfortable and well-maintained. Highly recommended for a memorable getaway.

An outdoor swimming pool and bungalows surrounded by gardens can be enjoyed in Hanga Roa only a 5-minute drive from Mataveri International Airport. Everything about the property was wonderful including the staff. The restaurant offered a variety of items. Complementary breakfast was great. The staff at the restaurant was exceptional.
