Very well presented hostel & the atmosphere is so laid back. I love the decor & rooftop to chill & for laundry :) obviously the owner has thought about it. Good kitchen facilities / fridge and everyone seems able to cook in good order. Mr. Hans & other friendly staff took good care of the guests.

Since April 1st we moved to a new, more modern, 6-story building located in the Old City, close to the main tourist attractions of the city. It's a new hostel in a beautiful, restored Beaux Arts historic building on a pedestrian street.. There are quiet, well lit, modern offices to work while you travel (the tall ceilings make it so easy!) . The rooms are ridiculously spacious, with balcony, large bathroom, and the beds are super private like a better version of those Japanese Capsule hotel rooms (with privacy curtains, intl electric plug, and a small shelf for your devices. The tall ceilings and large windows make for comfortable sleeping. The main room with integrated kitchen has the feeling of a cool loft in the city. On top of all of that there is a superb terrace with amazing 360 views of the sea, the old city and the port. I think I can see every single landmark in Montevideo from up here. Book ahead!

Located in the heart of Montevideo, this 1930 refurbished house offers private and shared rooms with free Wi-Fi and a common kitchen. The staff and the amenities and facilities basic but good. Breakfast was a steal at $200 UYU(5.2 USD), really good with a self serve table with toaster, bread, cake, coffee, yogurt, cereals, and fruit.

It offers the casual traveler, the tourist or digital nomads a place to stay at affordable prices.
