The hosts, Ms. Hanh Lim and her mom are very kind and thoughtful people. It was the best place we stayed in Vietnam. Her place was spotless and comfortable. We booked 3 rooms for 3 nights and ate breakfasts and dinner there. Dinner was plenty and great food. Breakfast was simple, but tasty. The showers were so inviting as they were carefully designed by allowing us to take hot showers over smooth stones. We were able to use her free bikes and biked through the beautiful rice paddies. We had our laundry washed and neatly folded for free. While Mai Chau is a simple village, the view of the rice paddies were so calming and beautiful. We highly recommend staying here for at least one night. You won’t regret it. We chose to stay for 3 nights and took day trips to Pu Luong and the glass bridge in Moc Chau. Pu Luong was beautiful, but the glass bridge was over priced and the view not worth the visit as you look out onto an eroded dirt mountain. The best part of our stay was getting to know Ms. lim and learned about her journey to make the Lim’s house Homestay happened. It took her 15 years to build the place, with just her and her brother. We were also impressed with Ms. Lim’s philosophy in ecotourism. She is an amazing woman with a kind heart who generously helps villagers in need. If we ever come back, we would stay at Lim’s house again. The only thing we would wish is for the beds to be softer, but this is a minor thing. Ms. Lim is well connected in the community. If you need a ride to other areas while staying at her place, she can arrange that easily.

We are always having our dinner with the family from the next house. There’ s this lovely lady every morning who always gives us fruit and gives us a positive vibes and always trying to help us even if we only have our conversation in Google translate. The next time I will be in Mai chau , I will stay here again or the next house’s homestay( Mai Chau Home Holiday Homestay ) which is there family as well.

The hosts pick you up from the shuttle bus drop off and get you immediately set up. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Wifi was excellent. The bed was great and both the AC and water heater worked a treat. The morning breakfast provided is very good with a few options. They’re also nearby other home stays with good food if you’re feeling more variety. The dinner was excellent and had a lot of options.
