The location of the resort is perfect. Clean wide quiet beach, a restaurant under a tree, pool under coconut trees. The bungalows are nice, clean, ac is good. It could use some renovation, but for this price we didnt find a better place in Thailand!

Superb quiet location right on the best beach on Phangan, Thong Nai Pan Yai. Unlike much of Phangan as of 2024, this beach is not overdeveloped and there is plenty of space for everyone. Well run, superbly friendly staff. I particularly liked the very firm bed, excellent for my back.

A beautiful resort with very cute bungalows in natural style. We rent a bungalow with 2 sleeping rooms close to the beach. The rooms are clean and simple equipped. All beds have a mosquito net. The restaurant is part of the beach and offers quite delicious food. In the morning they offered a very delicious breakfast (including buffet with fruits, toast and juice as well as an additionally separate meal (I really liked the thai omlet - my wife and children the french toast and musli). For Dinner you sitting direct on the beach with nice lightening around you - really romantic. One day they offered also a varied BBG (fish and meat) and a fire show. Next to the restaurant - just 10-20m - is a huge playing ground for children - time for couple time ;). Also the pool offers a kids area - unfortunately without safety separation to the adult area. In general one of the best resorts for families with south sea feeling :)

Amazing stay! We really loved it here, right on the lovely beach, with a great pool and lovely staff who were always helpful. Room was great, large and lots of sunlight, clean and nice little outdoor seating spot. Would definitely recommend!

One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. The beach has white sand and the water has a smooth entry to get deeper - very good for younger kids. We could recommend the Restaurant on Longtail Beach Resort for Families with children. The restaurant is direct on the beach, very romantic and just some meters away there is a natural playing ground with Swings and climb possibilities. I arrived with my son for a few days: the beach is still quiet and secluded and this offers a bit of what Thailand was years ago. The beach was beautiful and waters just right though the wash up from ocean requires human care (humans litter humans clean). Walking up to the right side of the beach there is a walk way up the mountain - we found 2c up there amazed at the views and found our new best friend up the mountain. Best coffee just outside pens! The resort food is good, but the lovely long beach has a range of restaurants enabling you to choose somewhere different each evening - a stroll down the beach away. This was our favourite hotel of the four we stayed at during our recent holiday to Koh Phanang and Koh Samui. Beautiful beachfront location, excellent value for money (this was the cheapest hotel we stayed in). Our room the family seafront bungalow was right on the beach and had privacy glass windows so we could lie in bed an admire the view without anyone looking in. We took hotels private transfer from pier for 600 baht which is the same price as a local taxi so would recommend doing this. The shower pressure was fine. The only thing there is no separation between shower and toilet. This is quite normal in Thailand and was the case in the most expensive 4 star hotel we stayed in on this trip - just so you are aware. Far nicer to take the easy trip over here on the 30 minute speedboat ride than stay on Koh Samui if you want to experience the real Thailand.

It is a beautiful beach with soft clean sand, perfect swimming (the right depth and sandy bottom), kayaks and paddle boards for rent, and beautiful views of surrounding mountains. The beach is not too crowded, and it is long enough to explore different restaurants and bars along the beach. We loved it.

The family atmosphere at Pen's Bungalow's and Tong Nai Pan in general is priceless and getting harder to find any where in the world. The variety of good to great places to eat and a few laid back beach bars makes for a perfect beach setting. Walking the beach on your way to nowhere in particular is in itself a wonderful experience at Tong Nai Pan Yai.

The beach is not affected by low tide as much as other beaches in the island (Summer). There are a lot of restaurants and bars in the beach. Amazing 2C bar with view. Must visit.
