The rapidly expanding Jordanian capital, Amman is an economic powerhouse spread over various hills. Atop one sits the Citadel, containing remains of the Roman Temple of Hercules, a Byzantine church and an 8th-century mosque and palace.
Also here is the Jordan Archaeological Museum, and at the foot of the hill is a Roman theatre, part built in the rock. Modern housing blocks surround it, but the most avant-garde architecture is in the developing Al Abdali business district.
The tallest Amman structures will be the Jordan Gate Towers and will house one of the city’s high-rise hotels. International brands of restaurants and bar can be found alongside more traditional cuisine in Amman, and many eateries are in the large Mecca Mall and Grand City Mall, which also has a cinema.
Nearby is the desert-like vegetation of Al Hussein National Park, and the Royal Automobile Museum which features cars of King Hussein, ruler for over 40 years and after whom are named city sights such as the King Hussein Business Park and mosque. The King Abdullah I Mosque has a beautiful blue dome, while Abu Darweesh Mosque at Amman’s highest point is a striking black-and-white structure.
Booking.com’s Amman accommodation includes 5-star hotels, apartments in the embassy district, and cheap hostels, all within easy reach of Queen Alia Airport.

Amman is ok for business trips, but if you need site seeing you got to go out of Amman. I haven't not experience the night life though to be fair, but I heard it is entertaining depends on your interests if you know what I mean.

A bustling capital with some interesting roads.
A bustling capital with some interesting roads. Drivers like to honk their horn most of the time! I guess because of the congested traffic state.
Old downtown is very nice and offer a great reflection of the Jordanian culture and personality.

Lack of recognizable food chains posed challenging food-searches but overall situation can be manageable. Traffic can be considered an issue and driving in Amman might be tricky (stick to uber / careem apps).
We stayed at several hotels as part of a tour while in Jordan. We arrived a few days prior to our tour so needed our own hotel and it was by far the best hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the rooftop restaurant was pretty, Breakfast was amazing, staff was fantastic, location was okay a taxi or Uber was easy to get. across the street is a Trader Vic’s restaurant that was great. Our tour had us in the Mena Tyke hotel which is the starting point for many tour groups. The quality of the Corp Amman was far superior.
The location of hotel is on main street which could be positive or negative for someone. The location was extremely convenient for me as I wanted to catch the bus for King Hussain Bridge in morning and Jet bus Abdali station is 2min walk. The suite was large with king size bed. The 5 stars 🌟 I will give to the old man who checked me in in evening and made request for breakfast box for me to be ready morning 630am as I was going to catch bus 715am. Their breakfast starts at 8am usually, real Jordanian hospitality.
it’s was really bad experience to meet this hotel team they don’t respect you and specialty the man work in reservation
I will not stay there any more
and please you are came here to jordan to be happy in your holiday you are not coming to try hotel and see what is the best
they make very cheap price to bring you to the hotel and in the end you will sleep in place look like prison
there are many Beautiful hotels around just view meters from
you have to clean your hotel before you bring people to
The W Amman hotels exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed the time to the most from the check in till checking out. The reciption is faster than I could imagine.
The room was luxurious and clean and tidy. The bathroom and self-cating products where top notch.
The View from the room and outside corridors was unmatched with anything.
Difinitly it was the most enjoyable experience in my life. Keeping in mind I visited plenty of 5 stars hotels around the world. You will not meet such a great hospitality and smiles.
My third visit to Amman and that the best hotel to check in it yet , Nice hotel and nice stuff , meet you with a smile and come to help you without the need to ask, the breakfast was nice ( Continental breakfast with some oriental options like falafel), the location is good , close to the roman theater and Amman castle and alot of good restaurant around the place , also was close to currency exchange stores so didn't have to search to it , the room was smaller than usual but it wasn't a big deal for me
The hotel is located right in the city center being a couple of hundred meters far from the Roman theatre. The area is lovely as you can feel the Amman life including restaurants, historical sites, and above all the most famous Al-Hashemi street which has a huge market that offers the best experience to the tourists. Above all, the breakfast offered is the best segment of the stay in my opinion. Lovely staff!
Very nice location in front of the roman theater and close to downtown Amman. We had a view on the theater from our balcony and the staff was really nice. It was our last day in Jordan and we didn’t have enough JOD to pay the food we ordered in the room before leaving to the airport, but Kazah was really nice and took what we had left! We ordered the taxi from the hotel and the ride was perfect!
Location - the hotel is just in front of the Roman Theater and in downtown Amman.
Stayed on the room with shared WC, but cleanliness of the WC is highly maintained, staff regularly cleans the area.
The reception staff are very friendly, accommodating and helpful, they will give you best advice to ensure you have a great stay in Jordan. Their breakfast is a complete set meal.
These was our favorite hotel in Jordan. Amazing value for money. Clean, comfortable, good maintained, super nice staff. We liked that it’s outside the old city, we rented a car, so were flexible with transportation. However, even if you are going to use taxis, which are affordable in Amman, this hotel is located in a good, safe and quite neighborhood.
Definitely the best choice in amman very clean and comfortable room and the stuff kind especially Jack he help us with offline maps for the city and Jordan it was very helpful and smoothly well done if you're visiting just listen to Jack advice where to go and what to do big thank you to the hotel and Jack for making our stay gorgeous
Location - in the center of Amman, and no more than 10 min walk from main atractions. Free parking in front of the hotel. 100m from main street with plenty of shops and restaurants, some of them work 24h.
Breakfast for 2 person only 5JOD.; nice and big room. Best value for the money.
We spent 2 days there and we enjoy it.
A great place to stay in while in Amman. Very friendly staff, clean spaces, warm shower (which is not the case everywhere in Jordan), and rich breakfast. Tea at the reception, advices on what to see and where to eat by the personnel, and central location of the hotel with a view of the Roman theatre were a clear plus.
Great place to stay in Amman.
Very comfortable and nice apartment with full equipment.
Good location, close to restaurants and to city centre.
Very kind staff, helpful and hospitable.
Great breakfast, the best during our trip in Jordan.
Good wifi, parking available in hotel and nice view from restaurant.
The staffs are kind. We really enjoyed our first stay ever in Amman specially thanks to Mr. Zaid. Every facility including the room is clean and well organized. Breakfast is also fresh and great. This hotel is one of the best acommodations and the price is reasonable compared to the local price.
I loved the place! Probably the only 5 stars hotel in Jordan. Forget about the Marriott, Hilton, Intercontinental and Hyatt, their local version is very poor. The House offers very professional service and great interiors. The only cons: a pretty poor breakfast.
I liked the staff .both staff members Sana and omran are friendly and helpful.
I do recommend this hotel it is in the middle between the east and the west of Amman.
They took care of my elderly mum,did their best to make her comfortable.
Really elegant hotel, comfortable beds, quiet and in a very nice part of Amman. Excellent breakfast (best we had in Jordan) and close to good restaurants in the same street and coffee shops.
Among the best hotels I stayed at in Amman. Clean comfortable rooms with reasonable price. But what I liked the most is the welcoming friendly and helpful attitude of front desk people.
