Zadar is a beautiful historic city with a lovely old town, seaside promenade, and unique attractions like the sea organ. Getting around is easy on foot. I enjoyed the local seafood and wine. The only downside was the crowds during peak tourist season, so I'd recommend visiting in the shoulder seasons.

Lovely Old Town, pretty and packed with history. Beautiful location, even more so in the evening/night. Easy and inexpensive to visit islands and nearby towns using local ferries and buses. Friendly people. Excellent, plentiful and well-priced restaurants and bars. Favourites were Dalmatina (fish/seafood), L'Osteria (seafood), Pizzeria Tri Bunara (worth the queue), Coffee & Cake (breakfast) and Konoba Tovar (goulash). Fave bars include The Trooper Bar (beer/metal), Deja Brew (beer) and Zlatni Kutic (people watching). Cheap, plentiful, quality seafood, bakery produce and fruit & veg from the market. Visited the usual spots including monastery and museums. Particularly enjoyed the vista from the Bell Tower, compact old town and narrow streets, city views and vibe, "green" market, Sea Organ, harbour area, park, eating and drinking, and people-watching.AndrewUnited Kingdom

The owner is really nice and gave us an upgrade of the room we initially booked and also some useful travel advice. We also got to meet Blinks, the very cute dog that "guards" the property. It is true that you have to walk about 30 min, or 15 min+cheap boat to get to the city center, but the hotel area is far more quiet and relaxing.

Kitchen was stocked with basic supplies, as well as nice extras. The spotless and modern bathroom had shampoo and toothpaste and the washing machine had detergent. We didn't have to buy or use the basics we took with us. This apartment is stylish, comfortable and well managed. We enjoyed our stay immensely. With a good buffet breakfast and a very convenient parking space on location. This hotel is situated just a few metres from the town which is easily accessible by foot (25 min away) or just 4 min by car. There's a big parking area at Zadar and it is very convenient and cheap. Our room was far larger than most hotels I stayed in.

The owner was amazing and went out of her way to let us in early to drop our bags and also allow us to leave the bags a bit longer on the last day. The bed was really spacious (only 1.8m I have seen in Croatia on our travel). Apartment has everything you need and a really nice couch to hang out. Zadar is amazing and worth a visit.
