Location is excellent!
Breakfast was good considering this is France.
The restaurant, Cafe de la paix, has budget-friendly ‘menu du jour’ and ‘plat du jour’. We had one lunch and one dinner. It was all good ‘brasserie’ type of food.
Also the garden is beautiful and the adjacent spa looked nice, though we didn’t utilize it. This makes it a very nice location in good weather.

The largest city in the Champagne-Ardenne, Reims is inextricably linked with this region’s famous sparkling wine. In fact, the city’s symbol - its huge Gothic cathedral - has a window depicting the monk who invented champagne: Dom Perignon. This coronation cathedral of French kings for around a millennium also has stained-glass windows designed by Marc Chagall.
A mosaic detailing champagne production also features on an Art Nouveau building with a barrel-shaped door on Rue de Mars, next to the 17th-century city hall.
But it’s the Reims champagne houses that are stars of the show. Many big brands are headquartered here and some including Pommery and Taittinger offer cellar tours in their underground chalk caves. You can also visit Veuve-Clicquot by appointment. Of course, no tour would be complete without a champagne tasting session, so you may leave feeling a little heady.
As you’d expect of such a prestigious city, there’s no shortage of restaurants, bars and shops including Galeries Lafayette and the Espace d’Erlon shopping centre. Tree-lined Place d’Erlon is considered the heart of the city and is home to the Reims Christmas markets.
Paris Orly Airport is the closest, so chances are you’ll arrive by car. See Booking.com for a great range of Reims accommodation that include parking.
We find Reims always a safe environment to wander around.
We find Reims always a safe environment to wander around. A little bit for everyone. Good shopping, good restaurants and an excellent market on Saturdays.
There is an awful lot to look at but just sit and people watch with a glass of champagne.
Reims is good for just chilling

The town has some very nice older French architecture and is very walkable. You can find everything you need within a few hundred meters. We didn’t use public transportation but we saw trams, buses and the rail station is an easy five minute walk.

The cathedral was beautiful and our cellar tour was fun.
The cathedral was beautiful and our cellar tour was fun. We found the main square / fountains and took the tram for a trip around and about. It was all very lovely with more than 1 glass of champagne to help things along!

Nice city that can be toured in 1 full day.
Nice city that can be toured in 1 full day. The main attraction is the Cathedral of Notre Dame. Make sure to take the Pommery tour champagne experience (no need to do Villa Demoiselle). Also make sure to visit the automobile museum. Have dinner or lunch around the Place Drouet d'Erlon (which is 5 min walk from the main train station). You can also visit the Basilique Saint-Remi (10 min walk away from Pommery).

A very good place to stay for Champagne lovers and to use as a base to explore the region and is not too far from Epernay by car or train. It also has some very fine examples of Art Deco and Art Nouveau architecture. The cathedral is not to be missed and the Crayères at Ruinart an UNESCO site

Perfect place for a city break.
Perfect place for a city break. A lovely city with a beautiful Cathedral and local church. Excellent shops, good balance for all budgets. Wonderful, traditional bistro/brasserie French restaurants.
Great city vibe with lots of entertainment, night life and wonderful cafes.
Check out the boulangeries and local cafes. Excellent cakes and pastries.
Lovely people, happy to speak English if you don't speak French.
Great welcome from english speaking receptionist(male with glasses), easy check in, compact but functional room, everything clean/spotless- credit to the cleaners!, room 409 3rd floor- quiet, lovely night of peacefull rest, secure gated parking, hotel is just off main routes around Reims- easy to get to, room costs us 67GBP, which is fair, breakfast was £20 for 2+1child, good choice of foods, again-exceptional cleaniness standards in breakfast room
We had a really nice overnight stay en route from Southern France to the UK. Communication with host about our late arrival time was excellent. What's so nice about the Sherpa Guest House is the personal Himalayan touch that permeates it. It feels like staying with a family rather than staying in a hotel. We did not take the breakfast but got pastries and quiches from the truly excellent boulangerie nearby.
a very good buffet-style breakfast is served in the dining-room, plenty of food. The hotel is very well located, 5 minutes walk to the cathedral, city centre. Plenty of bars/restauants in the same area near the cathedral on the pedestrian zone. For those travelling by car, there is a subterranean parking on the premises of the hotel, they charge Euros 14 for one night.
Pauline's apartment is an actual penthouse! From our lofty 3rd floor vantage point we could look out the balcony windows and marvel at the nearby Reims Cathedral as well as look up and down the beautiful, bustling tree-lined streets below.
Check-in was easy, the accommodations were first rate, and the location was ideal Well done, Pauline!
The location is good , just about few minutes walk-about to the Notre-Dame, and city centre, and you can park your car in the public parking lot, a front of the hotel just cross over , for €4,- per day .that’s very cheap for France .
The room is okay, good big matras, but no coffee/the maker .
It’s fine hotel for this category.
I loved everything about this hotel, and will definitely stay there again. Most importantly, the front desk staff were incredibly helpful, kind and professional. They were the best I have ever seen. The location was ideal. The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and quiet and elegant.
Excellent hotel with free parking, large sized rooms and a nice outdoor pool to cool off in. Great for an overnighter when travelling through France.
The hotel is on the outskirts of Reims and close to the motorway network. It's about 5km from the centre and takes about 50 minutes to walk in.
Practical, functional hotel. First stop in France on way to Spain. Convenient and easy to find on outskirts of Rheims. Walked into city for dinner. Opposite huge supermarket so could buy items for lunch and petrol. Very good breakfast with some of the best scrambled egg I've ever had!!
Staff amazing. Le Parc restaurant is one of kind. The continental breakfast experience is the best we have had in Europe. Only thing that makes it 4.99 stars is the bed pillows and sheets could be a better quality. Truly a 5 star hotel in a great location.
10 min by car to city centre, probably also in easy reach by bus / bike.
Relatively quiet. Breakfast is offered at about EUR 8pp.
The Mercure Hotel next door has a nice restaurant/bar.
Champagne tastings nearby.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, kindly reserved us a car parking space as we arrived in our campervan. Location was good, about a ten minute walk to Reims centre. The hotel was clean and had a 24 hour lobby.
It was a mediocre hotel on the outskirts of Reims. We are glad that they had free parking overnight and it was easy to drive in and out of the facility. It was not a good hotel or a good stay.
Good location for the Cathedral area and centre of Reims. Typical older French-stype hotel with character and friendly staff. Underground public car park alongside for parking - €16 for 24 hrs
It met our expectations 100%, very personable, comfy bed, very clean, good food and breakfast. It is very easy to find and was a great stopover on a journey across France.
Nice hotel for a motorway stay. Small kitchenette, secure parking, right off major highway. Very large and nice grocery store nearby with several restaurants.
