Great location, easy walking distance to city centre. Ease & instructions at check in. Comfortable quiet & just the right size room. The little pleasant surprise of coffee pods awesome.

This guest house is several km out of Corte in a semi-rural location. The immediate environment is attractive with a large garden and surrounding fields. There is also a nearby wood/plantation of cork trees. Our host was very welcoming and attentive, and he provided some excellent advice on local walking tracks, and routes to take and places to visit more remotely. There was a very good continental breakfast that included various cheeses and yoghurt.

Corte is a good place to do some hiking as the mountains and hills are stunning. We found the people in Corte were not as friendly as other places in Corsica we visited- which does make a differnce!
Personally I would skip Corte and stay longer somewhere else (Porto or Calvi were exceptional)

A really scenic town in a dramatic mountain setting.
A really scenic town in a dramatic mountain setting. Restonica Gorges are within a short distance and highly recommended for the 45 minute drive up and then 45 minute drive back down again as it has amazing scenery. The train station is a great point to get the scenic mountain railway to Vizzavona from - but be aware that the trains are pretty infrequent and during October there are absolutely no facilities at Vizzavona open - no toilets, drinks or snacks available. And you might have an hour and a half wait there for the return train !!

We passed through twice in our travels. The first time we saw the fortress and museum which helped a lot in understanding the country and culture. The second time we used it as a sight to see other places in the area, like the Vallee Restonica.

The city is a center for hiking that has a lot of energy provided by the five thousand university students. You can get here by the train from Bastia, Calvi or Ajaccio. We ate at the Trattoria both nights we were there. The table for two at the very back is best, both of you get a cushioned bench and the servers don’t need to get by you.

A rather forbidding looking but characterful old town, right in the centre of Corsica. Good for access to scenic mountains.
We took a 40 min. train trip through the mountains to Vivazzone and back.
A good meal at A Casa de l'Orsu.

The best thing for me was the walk from Corte along the Tavignano gorge. Stunning scenery. But I had difficulty findng the start.
A detailed map at the apartment would have helped.
There were so many eating places to choose from. I only ate out once and it was disappointing.
Although I called the host who was helpful, I couldn't get wi fi.
Corte is a really relaxed town, full of character and interest.
As an artist I loved the Contemporary Art museum , esp its location. And was intrigued to see the plaques showing Escher's drawings there.
This is a classic hotel with so much character! Worn stone steps up to reception, plenty of dark woodwork, generous room size. So much nicer for a holiday than an anodyne chain hotel.
We were pleased to see it was well-used by the cycling fraternity and the hotel dedicated a space off a second-floor landing for cycle storage.
And any number of excellent restaurants within easy walking distance.
The breakfast far exceeded our expectations, it was of the quality to be found in expensive hotels. The family staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The building, bedrooms and restaurant areas are very well maintained & overlook their own vineyards producing a wonderful rose that I had, it should appear in Hugh Johnson’s wine book!!!
It was away from busy traffic. Quiet area but 3 minutes drive to Corte. The room and place was very well decorated and clean. Everything was new and well kept. Breakfast was amazing with lots of variety and choices. Geofery was super friendly and helpful. Gracie! We would definitely come back! We even got to see sheeps go by!!
Great and welcoming host, who shared with us the story of Corsican people and their history - for which we are very grateful. Breakfast was excellent, nice surroundings and garden, mountains in the back, forest in the front...just a short ride away from the beautiful city of Corti (not Cort! :) - the heart of Corsica
We enjoyed the location far away from the very touristy city of Corte. It was quiet and very peaceful. Patrick, the man who runs the place was very kind and a good conversationalist. Our room was located up a steep wood ladder-like going up into a treehouse. Breakfast was adequate-homemade jams.
The location and setting of this hotel are amazing. It overlooks a beautiful, crystal clear river with lots of beautiful swimming holes. It's also near a cute village and best of all, an amazing hiking area up the canyon. The breakfast was great outside overlooking the river.
I love to stay in the quiet of the country which L’Albadu offers; there were lovely views of the mountains and town of Corte. it looks to be a working farm which is also very appealing. The gentleman administering our stay was welcoming.
A beatiful view and a large clean apartment. The location was right next to the citadelle lookout and close to all cafe and restaurants of the town centre. A perfect starting point for exploring the beauty of Corte and it's surrounds.
The location is one of the best in Corte. Victoria at reception desk was wonderful and recommended restaurants for dinner, she even made the reservations. both restaurants were awesome!
This apartment had everything you needed for a stay near Corte. As it was very hot, the shaded patio area was very welcome. You could walk to Corte and a large superstore was nearby.
The location on the river was beautiful. Close to a short easy hike and a short drive to town. Loved our dinner at the hotel, delicious food and great coffee in the morning
This is a unique experience in Corsica. It is a working farm. But it is also a small, modern inn. The staff was great. The room was spacious and comfortable.
for a one night stand the hotel is decent, the beds are OK, the location is not far from center, however it is on the hill - so requires some harder walk.
