Very clean hotel, modern rooms and private bathrooms. The host Silvia received me warmly when I arrived with the night bus at 5 am. Welcoming and helpful personnel, responded immediately to all my requests. Highly recommend for a stay in Tupiza.
Our essence was born in 1956 with a small grocery store and a friendly 2-room guest house. Essence that we try to show affection in the creative recycled decoration of the hotel.

We loved this place and to be honest the pictures somehow don't do it justice. It is large airy and very comfortable with 3 bedrooms and two large bathrooms, one en-suite. Communication was easy all along and the host kindly let us get the keys early. The kitchen was well-equipped and we cooked one night at home. As mentioned in other reviews, it is well-located for everything you want to do in Tupiza even for the walk to Puerta del Diablo. The shower was good and the water was hot. The Wifi worked fine. It is also great value for such a large place. Definitely recommend.

Great location near rail and bus stations as well as plenty of eating options. I was kindly allowed to leave my bag during the day when I checked out. I was travelling on a night bus much later. I appreciate that kindness. Nice roof terrace.

Tupiza was fairly small city.
Tupiza was fairly small city. I stayed there instead of nastier/bigger uiuni in preparation for salt flat tour. Instead of preparing a with a for agency. I rolled into the first 6am collectivo to Uiuni, walked into an agency and an hour later I was in a group in a 4by4 headed out to salt flats. Maybe extra blessed( ? )but it all worked out. The agency :Playa Blanca (30$US) provided an excellent driver. We hit all the usual stops. We were NOT rushed and got to see the sun set all the way over the absolutely amazing salt flats.
Tupiza is not a tourist town. Saw very few travelers . Horseback riding available
(I didn't) Hot Bolivian girls. Good street food. Train was running: N to Uiuni or S to Argentina border, but at night so no sightseeing.
Very clean, spacious room. Amazing breakfast. Very secure, free parking for our motorcycles in a lot very close to the hotel. Hostess, Silvia, was so concerned about our comfort and needs - she is amazing. She works very hard to make sure her guests are satisfied, and her care and hospitality combined with the facilities and the breakfast, taking the location into account, all add up to my giving this the highest rating I have ever given any hotel, and I have travelled all over the world and stayed in hundreds of hotels.
Well located hotel with very friendly and helpful owners. Great breakfast with freshly prepared fruit salad and juice, good coffee and eggs.
Spacious room with hot water.
The hotel computer system was hacked and we got an email in which we were asked to specify our bank details by clicking on a link. The owners of the hotel immediately set correctly that this email was a fake and that we don't have to specify any bank details.
You never have to pay in advance, you always pay in cash in the hotel!
The apartment is in a really quite area and a typical Barrio of Tupiza. Is not in the center of the city, but you can walk in 20 minutes to it. Close to the house you have a lot of options to buy some groceries, food and on some days there is a market. The bed was really comfy and the apartment offers a lot of space. It was clean and I really liked the patio and the terrace. There you have a really nice view on the Cerro de la Cruz!
The room was exactly as pictured, and the interior of the building was also lovely, with a beautiful staircase and lovely doors, and all very clean. I was welcomed by Silvi, who couldn’t do enough for me and speaks excellent English if this is important to you. Silvi also cooked for me, exactly what I hoped for, and helped me with some challenges I had with currency. I honestly don’t think you’ll find a better hotel in Tupizi.
The place looks a bit antique, but is very well maintained. The bed was comfortable, the shower hot, everything was very clean. The staff is very welcoming and friendly, and helped me with everything I needed. I did the 4d/3n Tour to the Salar with the hotel-owned tour operator as well and had an absolute blast. Looks like they pick all their staff very carefully, because everyone was lovely. The breakfast was good as well.
This is the place to stay at in Tupiza.
The location is great, everything is clean, the rooms are nice, the breakfast is excellent. And most importantly, the family owning & running the place is the nicest you'll ever meet.
They offer tours. I did go horse riding & their horses are in good health & sweet rides in this wonderful canyon area
They made me a free upgrade and gave me a room with private bathroom. The room was comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was really good for a 3 star hotel! unlimited food. They also let me check out one hour later because I had a work meeting on my computer. It's also very well located, right in the center in a very quiet area
Stayed 2 nights, nice property since options are limited in Tupiza, Tupiza Tour is located next door, nice breakfast, nice swimming pool, we arrived with a night bus and it was only 5 minutes from the bus station and there was still someone at the reception at 5 in the morning so we could "late" check-in,
The location was within easy walking distance to the centro area of Tupiza. We liked the secured parking. Sylvia was a wonderful host and made extra efforts to help ensure our stay was a success. Her suggestions for day trips were helpful. The included breakfast was very good.
Calm and well located hotel.
We finished by staying 4 nights there.
Personal friendly and helping.
The outside is night and sunny to chill.
Hot shower, well equiped kitchen, sharing area clear and clean.
All for a good stay.
Good place to meet people as well
Very friendly hosts in a clean and comfortable hotel. Buffet breakfast, hot shower, and comfortable beds. Just be aware that the location is across the bridge. For me it's an easy and safe walk... even good lighting if returning after dark.
this place is super lovely. You get your private room for a decent price. It's clean and the location is great. the family who run the place are so sweet and welcoming! they also run Horseriding and uyuni tours from the hotel.
Cute hotel with a gorgeous pool and lovely outdoor areas. Room was comfortable and clean. Shower was hot and towels were fluffy. Breakfast was the star of the show buffet with cereals, fruits, eggs, etc. Definitely recommend
Good hotel close to the bus station. Delicious pancakes and fresh OJ for breakfast was great combined with a HOT shower. Has a shop attached and offers good price laundry service. Nice stay, thank you!

I could not pay with visa. Only cash Monet, and it was very dificult to withdraw Monet in Tupiza. You could only g’et 500 bolivianos Per day
Comfy beds, good amenities, and good breakfast. Good hot showers. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Pet friendly hotel. It’s a great place to stay before and after four day tours.
Great Hostal in Tupiza. Walking distance to bus station and "centre".
Really friendly hosts, serving a nice breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice. Good shared kitchen, social.
I arrived early in the morning and they let me check-in in advance and even upgraded me in a single room (booked a dorm). The hotel is really nice and clean and well located
Lovely hotel corridors & stairways. Convenient location. Good breakfast (fresh orange juice, coffee/tea, bread rolls with butter & jam, pot of yogurt, fried egg, banana).
