It's a steep walk up from Plaza de Armas, so we usually just Uber back to the apartment (about 9-10 soles). There is hot water all the time. The beds are comfy and they provide so many blankets to keep you comfortable. The place is highly recommended for a quick or long-term stay in Cusco. We stayed here for 2 nights, then went to Machu Picchu for an overnight stay and stayed back in this apartment for another 4 nights. The owner let us keep the apartment and allowed us to leave all our stuff (unpacked) while we were in Machu Picchu for free!
