As I'm the organiser, there's always a slight concern as to how the place will work out (we go a different area and venue each year). I needn't have worried - the whole experience was impeccable - from checking in, to the evening meal and breakfast the following day. The rooms were lovely, beautifully fitted out and very comfortable, and the staff were all great. Great value for money as well.

Formerly a 17th-century rectory, Lords of the Manor is set in 8 acres of secluded gardens and parkland. Great staff. Nice facilities. Superb location for wining down and having the “slender walk and talk” in the Slaoughters and Bourton-on-the-Water. Only regret was the short 2-day stay.

Nestled in the heart of Stow-on-the-Wold, The Old Stocks Inn is a recently refurbished 17th-century coaching inn that overlooks the green where the original penal stocks still stand. For room, a lot of care is made to ensure comfort of guests, eg. the wooden toilet seat, the free coffee and drinks, etc. For breakfast, they are delicious and the serving is generous. I am overfed! Dinner is really value for $$, the variety offer breaks monotony.
