Friendly and polite staff, very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant served delicious dishes at affordable prices. It is the perfect place to relax for the weekend. The Guandi Family Temple is only a 10min walk from the property, very easy to reach and totally worth the visit. As for other tourism attractions although a bit far, the hotel can recommend drivers and the prices are acceptable.

The Elsewhere hotel was a little gem: it felt like were were staying at one of the ancient buildings we saw around town, while still having the comfort of a modern hotel room. I would recommend accepting the pick up service offered from the train station, since it's quite far from the hotel: we were greeted by Alice, who spoke excellent English and who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, even booking the tickets for the city's attractions with her own phone and account when mine didn't want to cooperate. We went to Ping Yao to experience ancient China, and came away with the experience of a lifetime.

Boasting well preserved architectural structure and attention-to-detail service, Jing's Residence is a hidden gem in the ancient walled town of Pingyao, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Excellent and super attentive customer service, beautiful decoration and interior design, location is perfect to explore the area, delicious and healthy breakfast. We highly recommend Jing’s Residence for your stay in Pingyao.

Housed in a traditional courtyard property with a 300-year history, Pingyao Yide offers Chinese-style rooms with hand-made fine wood fittings and artwork. Yide Hotel was incredibly beautiful and serene! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. I emailed across my arrival train and they arranged (for a very small sum!) for me to be picked up- the same on the way back to Pingyaogucheng, which was immensely helpful. On the day I arrived I happened to get an upgrade on my room- can't be guaranteed, but was great. The breakfast was delicious- I had a lovely tea, scrambled eggs and toast. There were many more options and it was unlimited in how much you had! They gave me a useful map and talked me through the top sites to see. Overall a brilliant stay.

Nastanitev Fairfield by Marriott Taiyuan South (samo za odrasle) se nahaja v mestu Taiyuan in ponuja brezplačno izposojo koles, fitnes ter skupni prostor za druženje. Large, spacious rooms with warm showers. Internet was fast, breakfast was not bad, and is just 50m from Taiyuan South train station.

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Water Hotel, Pingyao offers accommodation in Pingyao, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hostel is pretty clean and the location is amazing, and to me, it is even the best location. Within the old town. It is on the “the South Street”, the main walking street of the Old town, easy to get to everywhere. It is several steps to the South Gate, so can get a transport car easily. The host is quite friendly, give a lot of travel tips and can also help to arrange tour guide service. They also offer pick up and drop off service to railway station. Room is large and clean, breakfast also good. I would highly recommend this hostel.
