Blu Hostel is highly recommended. We booked a room with a self-contained kitchen and private bathroom, which suited our needs perfectly. The little kitchen had a full gas stove (and oven), fridge/freezer, sink, basic pots, pan, crockery, and cutlery so perfect to make small meals in the room. The bathroom (shower, toilet, and sink) is small and clean with towels included. The air conditioner works very well in the room as Panama is consistently hot and humid. The Blu Hostel staff are friendly and helpful, and all speak English which helps a lot. The hostel location is perfect in terms of numerous supermarkets, restaurants, copy shops, medical offices, and much more. It is also within walking distance to a subway station, bus routes, taxis and Ubers. The hostel has a 'no noise' policy for evenings so that everyone is able to get a good night's rest in the comfort of their rooms. The hostel offers a reliable drop-wash-dry laundry service ($6 per big load) which normally takes day and a half. The hostel offers different types of rooms etc to suit different traveler needs. The hostel staff leaves you be and ask when you would like cleaning or any assistance. The hostel offers free basement parking but please bear in mind that some pick-ups/cars may not fit the height restrictions. The hostel front entrance and parking is always locked to ensure safety for all guests.

Breakfast was good, but could be a bit better. Not everyone wants their eggs well done, but at least you are given the chance to fry it yourself or scramble if you are fussy. You can even decide if you don't want breakfast for that day or not or if you want toast or pancake or Arepas. The Hostel is REALLY cleaned everyday, the Dorms are really focused on as people visit everyday, Linen is changed everyday. The private rooms get cleaned every 3rd day, which I was happy as I'm not an untidy person. Private rooms have ample space for luggage and ample storage space for clothing and groceries. My bathroom was separate from the room, but I was the only one that had access to it, so I was content. There is no hot water, but the trick is to get all warmed up outside while having breakfast, then go cool off with a morning shower! The kitchen has all the amenities to cook, so that was good for me.

The hostel is very spacious and clean, has a pool, good kitchen, close to metro station, and most importantly , there’s a few cats and dogs being cared for with love and I really like that. I would definitely return. Made it to the Airport easily with the morning metro, leaving at 5 am catching flight at 7:25.

This accomodation offers you everything you need after long flight. Safety, nice owner who is trying to help you with everything, kitchen, AC, private bathroom and nice garden where you can rest for very good price. It is located in safe area and not far from the main bus terminal. I will be back before my flight home (:

Everything! I'm not sure why this place is receiving such luke warm reviews. It's a really nice hostel, the staff is really helpful, it's super clean, the rooms are very quiet and comfortable , the bathrooms are really nice, big and plenty, huge well stocked kitchen, and the fastest laundry service I've seen in a while. The pool is really nice and in general it has a really nice chill laid-back vibe and is in a super nice neighbourhood. It's actually a lot nicer looking than the pictures. I slept like a baby over here. Possibly the most undisturbed sleep that I've had in a full dorm room in 4 months of travelling. That itself makes this a full 10 for me. I also lucked out with having only super nice and sociable guests there during my stay. Also, best hostel coffee to boot. I honestly would've extended for a couple of days if I didn't have a flight pre booked.
