Very stylish and comfortable hotel in the heart of Alta. We arrived just after the restaurant closed but the very friendly reception staff gave us recommendations for nearby places still open. The room was amazing - it felt like a rustic log cabin but was very well equipped - not at all like the outside of the hotel would lead you to expect. Its location is very central - just beside a large car park in the centre of town and a couple of minutes walk to the shops and cathedral.

Very easy and helpful check-in. We were given a better cabin, with single beds rather than bunks which suited us better. The showers were great.

Great experience staying in the ice hotel. We stayed in the basic ice rooms since they were much cheaper and you can visit the carved rooms before 8pm. Food was lovely in the Laavu restaurant and breakfast was also very nice. Sleeping bags for the ice hotel were cosy and warm which made for a comfortable sleep.

The location is beautiful . It just needs to be soaked in . It really is pretty.
It faces a river and the place is beautifully done . With big bay windows . They shave coffee available in the lobby which is good for cold weather.
They do have activities but do book in advance if you want to explore those . The girl at the reception was kind to check activities for us from other places as they were packed .
The bathroom is beautiful as well and the shower stall is of Good size .
Breakfast was as in the region standard and the same everyday . You do get to make your own pancakes if you want !
