The location was amazing for a quiet getaway, the parties in the lawn notwithstanding. Its a great place if you want to stay in the hotel, but for everything else you need to have a car. Also, the restaurant needs a major improvement. Myt wife got food poisoning on the second day and the food was completely underwhelming. The place is situated in a tea estate, the least that could be done was to give good tea. But alas, that was not the case at all.

We went for friends trip to darjeeling and stayed at Ajit Homestays in sonada, one of the best stays I can say this. The home cooked authentic food and the hospitality was so amazing. Ajit ji and his family made us feel like home at there place. We all had the great time at there place.

If the weather was good, it looked like I could see the good view from the room of Swastika, but I could not see clearly even the closest hill because it was too hazy. I heard from local people many times it is very hazy in April. Anyway it's not the fault of Swatika.
The family running Swastika was very friendly. They have a small and beautiful family temple on the top floor, which is good for meditation. The location is very convenient, close to everything - SBI ATM, jeep stand, supermarket and tea garden.
