The evening menu was limited but the quality and speed of service was excellent. The breakfast was good with a varied choice of items.

Heyford House is beautiful, with lovely gardens. We'd booked two rooms, and they were very in keeping with the property, but also had refitted bathrooms. Breakfast was served in the dinning room, and it was a relaxing and peaceful stay.

We were a little surprised to find that the centre of Bicester was the same as many towns we have visited this year. Somewhat gloomy, lack of individual shops, slightly grubby and dirty pavements areas, especially the pedestrian areas. However, on the positive side Safeway's was in the centre with a large free for 2 hours car park and laid out rather ingeniously.
WE believe that the Village outlet centre was located too near the centre and really dwarfed the town areas with designer brand clothes fashion ideas.
Never mind you will not please everyone all of the time.......

Our son had bought my wife a 'Drive a Fire Engine' experience and we decided to stay overnight. That part of the trip was excellent. The centre was pleasant and clean. There were plenty of charity shops (a plus) and pubs to eat in. We chose the Penny Black in town (for drinks & breakfast) and The Acorn for a meal. At The Acorn, the staff were particularly friendly and the steaks were great.
Coles Bookshop was brilliant - could've spent a fortune.
Unless you're REALLY interested in clothes, the Village is a waste of time cos there are mostly clothes shops and it took us twenty minutes to have a wander round and then leave.

We wanted to visit the Bicester Shopping Village hence the road trip from Halifax to the area.
Stopped at the Holiday Inn overnight, basic facilities but okay for the one night, watch out for the £5 parking charge plus the PodPoint chargers aren’t free here unlike the Best Westerns.
The shopping village is definitely worth a visit, plenty of shops although quite a few are the usual chains but we enjoyed the experience.
We didn’t manage to get into Bicester itself as it was raining and a bit miserable weather-wise but I’ve been there years ago and its its worth a visit especially if you are keen on photography, plenty to see and do, overall worth breaking your journey for a visit

Stayed in Bicester, a lovely town, as it was close to the Silverstone Circuit for the F1 British Grand Prix, being only 30 minutes away. Great place for expensive outlet shopping.
Easy to reach Oxford by train or car.
What a lovely B&B Lionsgate is, in a great location for Bicester Village Outlet (5 minutes walk) and Town Centre for food at night (5 minutes also.)
Lionsgate was clean, bright and airy, beautifully decorated throughout and a spacious bedroom and en-suite. Kerrie has thought of everything, even down to phone charger, which I had forgotten. Water, tea coffee, biscuits, ear plugs (🙂) etc in room.
Breakfast was good, parking on-site...a real must if looking for somewhere to stay in Bicester. Thank you Kerrie.
I booked this room last minute as my BF and I were travelling and decided to stay the night in Bicester as it was on our drive route.
Great location 5 mins from the town centre
Close to Bicester Village shopping outlet
Very clean
But for us the stay was made by the welcoming and accommodating staff, we couldn’t have felt more looked after.
Abed works extremely hard and is the nicest friendliest person.
Thank you again
Would highly recommend!
This is an excellent B and B. Lots of attention to detail, Leo the owner was welcoming and chatty and clearly works hard. The room (number 4) looked out over the churchyard and was very comfortable with an immaculately clean en suite. The gardens here are stunning and worth a gentle wander. The canal walks are fun and the village is very photogenic. Recommend
I did not have breakfast because I have had head and neck cancer and cannot take food or drink via my mouth
The room was excellent. Very clean and quite spacious.
The staff I met were helpful and friendly. A testament to the hotel.
All in all I felt very comfortable during my one night stay.
I will certainly return.
I like the breakfast. It was not much choice like other hotels but it was enough. It is better to keep the hotel cost lower than a huge breakfast. It will be nice if they’re are more fruit and cheese options. There was huge selection of meat but not much cheese options in the continental breakfast.
It’s a nice, quaint local hotel. Very nice gardens, a nice bar and plenty of parking. A great location for exploring Bicester on foot and really close to the Outlet Village. The staff are super friendly and nothing is too much bother. Places like this need using post COVID to keep them alive.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Swimming pool lovely. Breakfast very good. Location good for the places we wanted to visit. Hotel very clean. Very peaceful location, slept well without disturbances. Would use the hotel again if in the area.
Room was clean and recently decorated, if a little small. Hotel was opposite a pub serving good and inexpensive meals. Bus stop (for Oxford or Bicester Village, for example) was just over the road. Area was quiet over night.
The hotel is a bit old but the room is spacious and clean. The staffs are friendly. The breakfast is simple but good enough. They provided free parking and wifi. The location is good and close to Bicester Village.
This was our forth or fifth visit to this hotel, smells divine, clean and tidy, literally a 6 minute drive to the Bicester village….. great location. staff friendly, food amazing. All round great hotel to visit
Great location, short drive from Bicester Shopping Village. Parking is chargeable but not expensive at all and very easy to pay right outside the entrance to the hotel. Hotel lobby very roomy and felt fresh.
Fantastic hotel, beautiful decor and the staff were very friendly. The dinner and breakfast was also gorgeous. Picturesque location and very close to Oxford and Bicester village
The staff is very friendly. The hotel looks historic but the room is very clean and spacious. The bed is comfy, wifi works fast. Breakfast is good. It's a pleasant stay.
Stayed in this convenient property in order to have multiple visits to Bicester Village. It is just few easy minutes walk. Highly recommend it for the same purpose.
This is a lovely hotel! People are very friendly; dinner and breakfast were delicious and the room was very comfortable. In fact, this is my second stay here.
