The somewhat outdated mid-range hotel was less than a three-minute walk from the train station. The old port and thus also the city center of La Rochelle was surprisingly close, less than ten minutes' walk away. The hotel is somewhat hidden in concrete architecture. My navigation software thought that the hotel was permanently closed. This was wrong. I pointed this problem out at reception.

Staff at this hotel is really friendly - although I arrived early in the morning, I could check-in immediately. I appreciated the delicious breakfast a lot! Location was great, half-way between the train station and the old town and just next to the harbour.
