My stay was pretty short, just a stop for the night. But the view from the terrace and the nice countryside around makes this place suitable for longer stays. The breakfast was basic, but handmade food was great quality. Jams were really a gem. Very clean. Nice host.

A delightful Hotel and restaurant. In the centre of the market town of Nyons. Which is a very charming small market town. The hotel is faced/screened with lots of trees and is not directly on the road. Inside is not grand but it is stylish in the old sense and has been refurbished very well. There is a very silent lift to all the 3 floors. Our room no 25 was close to the lift and we never heard it. Our room was clean and quite big with a good bathroom and great shower. The bed had a good mattress. All the windows of the hotel have been replaced and it is almost impossible to hear anything from the outside which I was worried about as the hotel is in the centre of town and there is a great market every Thursday. We slept incredibly well for the 4 nights we were there....and Im very fussy about my sleep! The restaurant serves very fresh and typical French cooking. It makes a good change from overly Cheffy food. The service was good and the staff were very efficient. The owner is a lovely man whose family have owned the hotel for generations. It is worth looking at the history and photographs and paintings of the hotel downstairs and the owner may just be around to tell you the story....which is very interesting. Breakfast is self service in the breakfast room. No hot food is offered except coffee and tea. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. We were pleasantly surprised and will certainly go back again when we want to see our friends again in the area.
