Very nice hotel. We stayed here during the state-of-emergency and there were lots of security guards which made us feel safe. Room was large and clean as was the bathroom. Restaurant and breakfast were pretty good.

My mum stayed for one night. The team at the hotel were absolutely amazing!
I was quite worried as my mum is an elderly person so they kept me updated about when she arrived, picked her up at the airport, organised her taxi for the next day, and always answered my questions timely.

I loved this hotel and will stay there again upon my return to the Galapagos Islands. It is the perfect rest spot between flights back and forth to the US. The hotel is perfectly beautiful. The staff was super nice and helpful. The beds were super comfy. The little pool and lounge area with a full bar, although tiny, was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. The room service was on time and delicious. I loved the buffet brunch served every day. It was spectacular. This was a great value for the money.

Currently, other than very specific areas, the vibe is not good. Security, soldiers and police abundant; and, lots of guns visible. Bars on EVERY storefront. Most stores you cannot enter; you ask for what you need and pay through the bars. And, with a curfew in effect, it’s weird to see absolutely empty streets when there are 3.2 million people living in the city! 😳

A beautiful, safe and welcoming city.
A beautiful, safe and welcoming city. People are nice and polite, the prices at restaurants are just fine and the transportation is easy to use and economic. Malecon 2000 was a really nice tour. Also you can find many gastronomic options and delicious dishes. We would definitely back there

It's a nice town!
It's a nice town! It's so nice to walk along the Malecón where you can find some cafes, children´s playground, parks, and the ferriswheel. I appreciate the free (and clean) bathrooms (though you have to pay a few cents for toilet paper - if the dispenser is not running out of it) and free power supplies to recharge your phone all over the place! (bring your charger) I arrived in Guayaquil at around 2 pm on a Friday and left at 7 pm on a Monday, so I had about 4 days, which I think a bit too long. I could have left on Sunday instead. Overall I felt safe but I do take precautions, keep my backpack in front of me, never put it down in public places, etc. El Cerro de Santa Ana is nice. There are only 440 steps to get to the Lighthouse las Peñas, which is cute. You can see some free roaming iguanas at el parque Seminario in front of the Cathedral. It has a small pond full of fish and turtle, some are endangered kinds. It´s quite entertaining. The park is not big though and it´s full of vendors selling stuff. Be careful, do not stand under a tree, you might get ´rained on´ by iguanas perching on a branch above you. I also walked around Malecón Salado but it was deserted (sad). I also visited Isla Santay. A long walk from the city crossing a pedestrian bridge to go over to the island then another 1.7 km boardwalk to arrive to the village. Not much to see there and the boardwalk is in a dire need of repair. There are lots of holes caused by damaged, broken woods so cycling is not recommended. I booked a tour to see bottled nose dolphins but was cancelled due to low number of participants.

I enjoyed my time.
I enjoyed my time. I was only on foot, so there are a few things I may have missed without traveling by car that I will visit next time.
I felt safe walking alone. I enjoyed the live music along the water (the water is not an attraction).
This place is perfect! The airport shuttle was flawless, the room was comfortable with a beautiful view over the park, great location. And the breakfast was INCREDIBLE! I will definitely stay here again - just for that breakfast. It is a buffet with fresh food and incredible variety. Also the staff were super helpful. They helped me get a private truck to Vilcabamba. Thank you so much! I have already recommended this place to my friends and family coming to Ecuador. Great place to arrive to after a long international flight!
This was a reasonably priced and well located hotel in the centre of Guayaquil that provided clean and comfortable accommodation. My room was spacious with efficient air conditioning, a comfortable bed and excellent wifi service. The shower had excellent water pressure along with plenty of hot water. The owners/managers of the hotel were courteous and very helpful and spoke some English. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Guayaquil.
Good for a quick stop in Guayaquil. We took a taxi from the bus terminal to the hotel ($5 USD). The price/quality rate is great. Hot water in the shower and very helpful staff. The hotel sold soft drinks in the reception but apart from that we didnt see much cafeterias/restaurants on that street. Since we were going to take a new bus the following day, we decided to have breakkie/brunch at the bus terminal instead.
I like the location because it's very close to the airport. There's a good shutle service. I usually stay in this hotel on my first night in Ecuador. After that I travel to other places. However the president of Ecuador had just dissolved the government and it was a little dicey getting around town. So I stayed at the hotel and then moved to another hotel very close to the airport.
Great very clean hotel close to airport (so close you could walk). Staff is very helpful. Great breakfast included in the price of the room. aWe stay here whenever we need something close to the airport. This time we had dinner - the food was absolutely AMAZING!!!!!! I had the whitefish which was the best by far! HIGHLY recommend this place! you will not be dissapointed
Location is great. Close to everything what I wanted to see.. Staff is very helpful and gave me all information I needed and also helped with airport transfer. Breakfast was very nice and their restaurant where I ate dinner do amazing job, had super tasty Ecuadorian style lentil burger with great view
I got an upgrade to the Sky Lounge section, with free happy hour and free breakfast. Very nice and unexpected. The staff in the lounge were great. Bed was comfortable, room very large and quiet, free shuttle to the airport. Will choose this hotel if I ever need another in Guayaquil in the future.
The facilities were really good. The hotel and room was clean. The staff was nice . It is only a short ride to the airport/ bus station- which was perfect as we only needed a place for one night close to the airport. It has shops and restaurants around. I didn’t feel unsafe walking at night.
It was the first hotel in Ecuador where I did not wake up at night several times because of the volume of noise. The reason was probably because my room did not have a window. In this case I was grateful for that. First good sleep after 4 weeks!
The location is perfect!
.Breakfast buffet was outstanding, with a mix of traditional and Ecuadorian dishes. Staff was very gracious and helpful, although many spoke limited English. Hotel is safe and secure on the Malecon riverfront, with very good restaurants and shops just a short walk.
It was a nice hotel in an area that felt safe for Guayaquil. The staff was really nice. Also I think we may have been upgraded because the room we received was much bigger than what we had been expecting. Overall had a really nice stay
The staff there went above and beyond, from picking me up from the airport to taking me directly to a bus for my next destination, Cuenca. The breakfast of eggs, cheese toast, juice, and Ecuadorian coffee was fresh and delicious.
Hotel staff was extremely helpful, they really went out of their way to help us with a specific camera item that we tried to purchase in Guayaquil. In general very friendly and polite. Fantastic breakfast!
Basic but clean hotel and accepted my pets. No elevator so if climbing stairs is difficult for you this may not be the locations for you. Convenient to the airport. Close to mall for meals.
The breakfast was first-rate. Also, the welcome drink was a great surprise. The room was very quiet - not something that can be said for many hotels in Guayaquil.
Clean hotel near the airport Guayaquil, to rest begore the lomg flight. helpful staff, free taxi to the airport back, great swimming pool. Great value for money.
