This was a pleasant surprise. We had thought (like all other places we stayed in during our D.R. visit) that there would be some things missing or not working. My wife and I were delighted by our stay in the Hampton in Boca Chica, near the airport. I felt like I was in Florida on several occasions during the visit. The room was superb and well-equipped, as well as spotlessly clean. The hotel had a new feel to it, and it may have been recently opened or renovated; I don’t know. The staff were more than helpful. One of them got the cook to make me a special Dominican breakfast (without my prompting him and something not on the menu or on display) and was a hoot. The hotel was full of customers, but you would never know that it was so crowded. The place was quiet with some gentle background music. Nice.

The receptionist was great! She was so helpful and very good english speaker, which surprised me in a good way for sure. She upgrade our room for free. Wish you the best. :)
Also the location was great. Not so far from SDQ airport, 10minutes by car.
The hotel is close to the beach, like 2mins by foot.
They have a private parking place, feeling safe. There was man standing outside and opening the gates. We appreciate that. :)
One more thing to add: THE FOOD AT THE RESTAURANT. The breakfast was stuning! And we also went for the dinner, tapas was perfect. :)

We stayed for one night only (arriving late and leaving early) and for that purpose it was more than enough! The staff was kind enough to receive us at 1.30 am after our flight. The room was spacious and the beds ok for one night.
We had great empanadas for breakfast and managed to exchange money right outside of the hotel.

The food was great.
The food was great. The conditions in the rooms were very poor. Had to go to the front desk numerous times throughout my stay. The phone in the rooms or not working. The power Hotel went off numerous times and by the time they're generator would kick in we had to wait. We had to wait hours for towels because they didn't have enough clean ones. No shampoo no soap in the rooms.

The area is very noisy. A lot of traffic on the road.
The area is very noisy. A lot of traffic on the road. I did not feel safe and therefore did not explore the area. We stopped over one night and it was one night too long.Only encountered one person who spoke English and therefore it was very difficult to communicate with the locals.Hence your requests were dismissed because they do not understand what you are asking. Even with google translate it was quite a challenge.

Bo a chica has a nice and very vivid atmosphere very close...
Bo a chica has a nice and very vivid atmosphere very close to the airport and only 30 min from santo domingo center. You can tell it is a place where people living in the capital like to come to enjoy their week end. Unfortunately most people to not seem to care about littering resulting in the beach being full of litter. Another disturbing aspect is how everything there seems to be linked to prostitution justice anywhere else in coastal dominican republic when not in a big resort with a private beach.

Beach:
Shipyards opposite the beach.
Beach:
Shipyards opposite the beach.
Sand is grey and hard, not nice at all, and there is no privacy.
You can walk a 100 m but still, the water is to the knees. Also, the beach is packed with restaurants and bars with very loud music, and prices are very high for tourists.
Many locals are coming here as well so beach is too crowded and it is dirty everywhere, and I would never recommend it.
Surrounding area is dirty and we did not feel safe walking around, stayed most of the time inside the hotel area.
Prices in the restaurants are very high, we paid 1300 Pesos (around 25$ for 2 dishes, one fish and one chicken with potato, on a square right at the very noisy street, with plastic tables and chairs, served on plastic plates and cutlery. Dishes were tasty but not worth the price.
Definitely not a place we would ever chose to come back to.

Boca Chica shows the essence of Dominican Republic.
Boca Chica shows the essence of Dominican Republic. Narrow streets, terrible traffic, unplanned lifestyle and unfortunately very poor towns. Beaches are so nice but local bars are to pushy. It is not a place where you can take a relaxing vacation at all. Unfortunately the local tourist offer is not friendly, even there is a sensation of scaming style all the time, either in restaurants, bars, or even Uber.
We arrived after a very long journey and didn't wish for anything but a bed - and what a bed we got! Super big and comfy (probably one of the comfiest hotel beds I ever slept in!!), a spacious room and bathroom, including fan and AC. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful even though we only stayed for one night. The breakfast in their restaurant was also really good, can only recommend going there!
Warming warming warming!
This hôtel is so dirty and stinky, no beach , it not secure place Rob by people in the street you’re going to the beach where people who are not at the hotel in your own risk. cannot found a plate to get what they called so food look my advice to all American, Canadian and French or others don’t go to whala! Hotel
You will regret
Very helpful and friendly reception!
Good breakfast with large choice and also fresh fruits.. very nice pool area with tropical plants, we did not expect this for an airport hotel. Perfect distance to airport.
Airport transfer: we booked it before arrival with Sichala taxi, the official taxi company of the airport, and paid only 10 USD.
The hotel is convenient for people with their own transport going to the airport. They can arrange taxis during the day, but not late-night taxis. It was clean, and staff were friendly and very patient with our broken Spanish. Everything within the walled enclave was great.
Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Hotel was right in the beach, just a short walk to both the water as well as restaurants. Breakfast was eggs, bread, juice, coffee, and a fresh fruit - simple but fresh and nicely presented.
Being on the beach doorstep and a stone throw away from the main street of calle Duarte is the absolute positives of this hotel. So useful to have it all there. Staff are helpful both in English and Spanish which was useful.
Room very bright and a studio with a balcony was really enjoyable with view on the sea. Perfect to spend 1 or 2 days away from the crowded Boca Chica beach but not too far either and perfect before flying out
There wasn't to much to like. The location was good, but there are at least other 20 hotels within 4 blocks of this one.I booked for 4 nights and left after 2.I saw no sign of housekeeping or any hot water
The location is very good if you have an early flight. This hotel is in the city so there are no nice beaches around, but it's very convenient if you need to be close to the airport. Free parking inside.
It’s good hotel with very reasonable price, reception employees is great, security guards Marcos and his colleague is perfect, location is amazing, good parking lot for cars
