What a gem this hotel is! We loved the thoughtful details and cleanliness of our suite. The character of the building, the spaciousness of the suite, the decor, and colors, the bedding, the fully outifitted kitchen, the garden and decks....all of it had us very impressed. Plus the location can't be beat. We walked to the shops and had some memorable meals at the restaurants. The hot springs were a short drive away and we visited them twice in 2 days, as well as the provincial park at the lake. We had the opportunity to look at some of the other suites while they were empty between guests, and every one of them was lovely. I would stay in any one of them. Chris, his wife, and staff are so friendly and helpful and check in was super easy. We travel often for work and pleasure, and the Cloudside Hotel felt so cozy, my only regret was not staying for longer. Thanks Chris, we will be back!

We liked the historical aspect. However, we thought the " organic" was being taken a little to seriously. We're all in favors of choices, and didn't like having this view pushed so hard on us almost every where we went in town.

Nelson has great character.
Nelson has great character. Beautiful buildings, excellent restaurants and an amazing setting on. kootenay Lake. The only issue we had was parking was difficult to find but then, it was Valentine’s Day so maybe it’s not always so bad.

It is beautifully situated and the setting is picturesque. However the town is not pretty with too many ugly buildings of an industrial nature near the shoreline.

This hotel has beautiful facilities and a great location. The rooms are well appointed, and the rooftop is fantastic with great seating, picnic tables, a hot tub and mats and space for yoga. It was a great place for a family gathering. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The place is super pet friendly. All round it was a wonderful stay and place for a family gathering.
My wife and I spent a couple of nights at this beautifully appointed boutique hotel situated in the heart of Nelson. The accommodations were immaculate with everything you need for a super stay. Our hosts were extremely pleasant and most informative. The check in and out process flawless. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nelson.
Modern decor in an old brick hotel. King bed was very comfortable. Nespresso coffee maker. Quick service provided for face cloth, extra towels, and extra coffee. Large common area compensates for small room size. Right on main street with plenty of restaurants and boutiques. Cheap meals at the A&W down the hill.
great hotel in nice location. The room was nice and spacious. We enjoyed the mini fridge and table as we ordered in food. the beds were comfortable and the curtains were nice and dark. the kids like the vending machine, pool and hot tub!! we really loved the off leashed dog area on the water.
This hotel is charming, quiet, comfortable and the staff is friendly, helpful and happy! The heritage of the building has been retained, but still feels updated, with all the modern amenities and the hotel is spotlessly clean! This will be my hotel of choice anytime we are in Nelson.
A super location about 10 minutes away from downtown Nelson. Great views across the lake, rooms have nice updates and layout. Stove, fridge, microwave, toaster and dishwasher. Quiet smoking area near room with a nice view of the lake (with a friendly local cat that likes pats).
Had a different ground floor room and had the same comfortable nights sleep as the previous stay. The price was right for the size of the room. Ideal for a short duration stay in Nelson. Really close to downtown Nelson.
Great location on Baker Street in Nelson. Good restaurant on-site, and others nearby. Parking just across the street. Confortable beds, very clean, good wifi, attractive decor. Friendly helpful front desk staff.

The hotel is historic and we loved the character and charm.
Great stay in Nelson and would choose this hotel again.
Mae Mae was so friendly! She made sure we had what we needed and answered any questions we had. So helpful when changing my reservation to be pet friendly at last minute. Beautiful view too!
