I really liked the wide variety of places to dine and all within easy walking distance. Lovely walk along the beach and up to the viewing points. Very clean and in a great location for getting to other areas of interest in that part of Queensland. It’s a great location.

We have been regulars in Port Douglas for the last twenty years the most consistent restaurants are as follows
1.Zinc
2. Salsa
3. Iron Bar
4. Gelato place called La Capenina
Most people are very friendly and accommodating and walking along 4 Mile beach is great however if you’re a family and want to see the reef don’t let the experience be soured by the expense as you do need a bit of money however

Great family holiday destination; lots to do.
Great family holiday destination; lots to do.
Snorkelling at the reef, strolling on the beaches and in the rainforest. Hartleys crocodile well worth a visit.
Lovely warm weather; easy to get around.
Roading up to Cape Tribulation still slow and some surface flooding due to heavy rainfall whilst we were there.

Location is amazing, just a short 15-20 minute car drive to the famous Mossman Gorge - DONT LEAVE PORT DOUGLAS WITHOUT GOING TO MOSSMAN GORGE - a truly great place to swim but be very, very, extremely cautious whilst in the water - the currents are very strong in some areas of the gorge.
Port Douglas is very scenic and majestic with many beautiful beaches - most of which you really cannot swim as there are signs advising caution with the possibility of crocks and marine stingers. Port Douglas has a vast range of eateries - would definitely recommend staying/visiting.

The tropical feeling. Beautiful plants and trees shopping was good everything was available from food to clothes. Locals were lovely and friendly highly recommend Zinc and the larger. A great Italian 🇮🇹 gelati shop owner makes his own cakes and icecream highly recommend seabean tapas bar awesome Spanish food. Beautiful Asian red on the right side of the Main Street best food ever I forgot to check everything is homemade and the owner was simply gorgeous….
100 Meters from 4 Mile Beach and swimming enclosure. In the Main street of Port Douglas so access to all facilities (Shopping, Retail, Eateries Etc) really good. Adults only makes it quiet and peaceful. Pristine property, beautifully kept gardens, clean and tidy rooms and a wonderful pool area. Mine Hosts Ken and Colin are terrific guys who run an great boutique, value for money operation. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they very accommodating. Have stayed in several properties in PD over many years and this rates very highly.
tony the on site manager was so lovely and helpful and made our holiday so enjoyable.
this property is the perfect spot to stay in port Douglas maximum 5 minute walk into the Main Street of macrossan the beach is literally across the road which is situated next to the surf club.
the hotel itself is immaculate to the highest standards of cleanliness and the grounds beautifully maintained.
my sisters and I had the most amazing holiday here and will definitely be back soon.
thank you so much tony and all White House staff.
The room was sparklingly clean, large, comfortable, the aircon highly efficient, with limited self-catering options, if needed, especially with the more than adequate fridge. The bathroom was roomy and towels were good quality. The room is situated in a quieter area with little passing foot traffic. Access to the resort facilities was easy and a short walk to a beach, with a short drive to the main Port Douglas beach and town centre. The option to use the bicycles provided was an added bonus.
Peter and Amanda are great hosts and made us feel very welcome. The apartments are very well located close to the centre of Port Douglas with a flat 10 minute walk to the wharf, beach or shops. The apartment was very clean with a full compliment of kitchen and dining utensils for making breakfasts and lunches. There was also a communal fridge and table in the entrance where leftover food was left ... a great idea to reduce waste of perfectly good food!
The motel was clean, comfortable and represented very good value for our stay. The staff were welcoming and helpful with information and with answers to our questions. The location was convenient to us being a short walk to shops and eateries. We would look to stay at this motel when again we visit Port Douglas.
My family and I loved this house. We loved everything. The location, the pool, the home....everything! It was so clean, quiet and peaceful. It is a beautifully designed home and the owners were so welcoming and helpful in anything we needed.
We will definitely stay here when we come to Port Douglas.
Excellent hotel, perfectly located in Port Douglas by all the restaurants and shops, yet very quiet by the pool and in the room. Room was clean and had everything we needed, and the staff were very accommodating. Walking distance to the beach the port for boat trips. Would stay again!
Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. The owners Kim & James were very friendly and provided top service. We felt at home. The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Port Douglas, which makes it easy to access the beaches, restaurants, pubs and shops by foot.
Unfortunately, I didn't appreciate this hotel as it is rated 5 stars when in fact it is borderline between 3 and 4 only. The location of the hotel to town is good, however the room we were provided did not meet our expectations for the cost.
Nice apartments clean inside needed a bit more lighting does have a lift pool area nice well kept gardens 1.3kl from Port Douglas need a car to travel or you can walk beach across the road about 4 minutes not a bad place to stay
The room was very spacious with the comfy bed. It was self service so we had to keep tidy which is no big deal. the staff were so helpful when booking tours around port Douglas. Location is close to beach and town.
Loved all the amenities, like beach chairs and towels. The hotel was close to everything in Port Douglas. The staff were very friendly and helpful! The hotel makes us want to return to Port Douglas!
Hotel is located just off the main road into Port Douglas, easy to find. The room was a good size and clean. Staff were friendly - didnt use the pool, but it looked clean and inviting.
Comfort level of the house. The location was close to Port Douglas but also just outside the town so lovely and quiet. The house was spacious and also had very good wifi and air con.
Very clean apartment, with a well equipped kitchen, including staples such as salt, pepper and oil. Felt like staying at a family holiday home rather than a hotel.
