Awesome value for money, really comfy bed, cold aircon, great location. Just didn’t like hearing noisey neighbours on the second night, could hear loud sports and people having long loud sex. Other than that it was a great place

Lovely island. Beautiful sunsets. Full of wild life.
Lovely island. Beautiful sunsets. Full of wild life. Very artistic with lots of murals throughout the island. Great tacos. Kind, chill people. Wish they would forbid the diesel fueled golf carts altogether. Would recommend to friends and family and even come back.

I wish this place would continue to be our little secret.
I wish this place would continue to be our little secret. It is small, quiet and a little bit more private that the other places we visited over the past 30 years. It is out of the way, which makes it more appealing to us.

We've taken three trips to Holbox and plan to go again next year because each trip has been better than the last. The people are so nice and friendly and accommodating. The places we've stayed have all been perfect for our group. The laid back, barefoot vibe really works for us. We've taken the 3 Island tour three times and fully enjoyed it each time. Taxis are readily available, and you can find something to eat by just wandering around town into any restaurant that appeals to you. The beaches are beautiful and the weather has been perfect when we've visited - hot but not humid. The island feels very safe. We will definitely keep going back.

The island has beautiful beaches with white and soft sand.
The island has beautiful beaches with white and soft sand. Island is pretty small and easy to get around but taxi rides are not cheap - on avg 150 pesos even for a 5min ride. You can rent a golf car or bicycles or simply walk. You can easily get around town by walking even if you stay abit off the town area but not if you stay at Punta Coco. Lighting is minimal with some potholes, making walking a tad bit dangerous at night. Activities on the island are quite minimal and the same is offered from one vendor to another. We went for the bioluminescence tour which was ok but is unlike what is shown in the photos. We then went island hopping the next day which we felt was a waste of money bcos there's really nothing much to see and not only did you have to pay for the tour, we also had to pay for the conservation, entrance fee to the island that had a cenote which were added cost and we weren't informed until we got there. As for food, I wouldn't recommend Roots Pizza, the lobster pizza was over priced for a measly portion of lobster meat. Had the 4 cheese pizza and you can tell cheap cheese was used. I do recommend La Casa de Nana for the food - great chef! As for drinks, highly recommend AMA Japanese restaurant for their mixology cocktails - super yums!

There is lots to see and do. And the Mexican people, the locals, are warm and friendly and very polite and courteous. And folk who work in hotels and restaurants are very professional and courteous and again friendly.

Holbox Island is a little piece of paradise, we loved it and would highly recommend it. If you want some beach time while in Mexico and don't like the noise and chaos of playa and Cancun(we didn't like Playa) then Holbox is the place.
Beautiful beaches, lovely restaurants water activities, great holiday.
You can walk around the island or get taxis. Taxi cost about 150 peso depending on where you are staying..
There are shops to buy food and drinks if you are self catering.
The helpfulness and friendliness of the staff was particularly great. If we had any questions about where to go, which tours are recommended, or anything else, we were always supported. The breakfast was also very good.
We would particularly like to emphasize the staff member Julian, who always accompanied the breakfast. He was extraordinarily attentive, friendly, and helpful. He gave us good tips throughout the week and was also a person on a personal level who made our stay at the Soho Boutique Hotel so unique.
The studio had very good location (it is very close to the ferry line station, beach, central street, cafés and bars). It was very quiet, except one night when it was a concert on the main square. The room was exceptionally clean, spacious and cosy. We always had good hot water in the shower and very fast WiFi. We also had all necessary cooking utensils. Good and quiet air conditioner. The staff is very prompt and friendly. So highly recommend and will definitely stay again when return to Holbox Island.
Best location in the island
nice staff
awesome breakfast with no extra charge for additional requests
clean and beautiful room with awesome view (it was exactly what I was expecting)
I suggest you to eat at the hotel’s restaurant. It worth it. delicious and affordable comparing to reputed restaurant in the island that are pricey with a small food portion like Lumma
we enjoyed free bikes and paddle boards that hotel provides
Holbox Island was a stunnig place and Bliss apartments was a perfect spot to reach all the activities available on the island. The owner gave us a big help planning snorkling and more activies with local agencies which was super nice. The structure was really clean and cozy. Kitchen well furnished. The beach is 5 min walking. The house was even better than it looked on pics. Really reccomended!
The hotel is all you need in this small island, you could walk about 25 min from the ferry terminal to the hotel or take the taxi vehicles.
The hotel is nice and clean, you can use the facilities of the partner hotel SPIRIT HOLBOX, which include their pool and their beach huts.
The breakfast is simple but nice. Rooms are clean and well prepared.
The location of this hotel is perfect. Very close to the center of town and on a great little stretch of beach that the hotel keeps immaculate everyday. The entire staff was so easy to work with and accommodating. Our balcony room was lovely with a great ocean view. I would definitely recommend a stay here if you come to Isla Holbox.
Hotel Tierra del Mar was an excellent location to spend our time in Holbox island. The hotel is quite, well organized and always clean. Israel and the staff were super hosts taking care of all our needs; they gave us all the right suggestions and they were always willing to help. I liked a lot the spaces, the room and the hammock.
Exceptional stay. The Hotel is beautiful, clean, everybody is so friendly and the owner gave us the best tips for everything on the island. It even has a little rooftop pool and chill area. I’ve been traveling quite a bit, but this is honestly one of the best places I’ve stayed in. 10/10
This place is absolutely incredible. The rooms, the service, the location, the gym, the yoga, the food - all incredible. It’s an eco hotel on an island in Mexico - any reviews complaining about wifi or hot water maybe should have remembered where they were booking. 100% recommend.
- One of the best hotels I stayed at in Mexico, clean and spacious room and bathroom, super comfortable
- Great location, close to ferry, to the main square and to the beach
- Lovely touch having a beach bag and beach towels in the room to use during the stay
Perfect tropical decor. Very green with the right amount of palms to provide separation & nice moments at the pool and grounds. Stellar staff. Perfect distance from town. Definitely the best small hotel I've ever stayed in Mexico.
It's really worth your money, it's clean and comfortable, the location is quite center and if you are looking for something simple and cheap compared to the average on the island but still with good standards it's a good hotel
What an amazing get away. The location is the best on the island and the team are lovely. All the benefits of being a small property but having the convenience of a larger hotel nearby which are part of the same group
The unit is located in a boutique hotel which has a lovely pool and garden area along with a cafe. It was nice to have a small kitchen and separate bedroom not just a studio with everything in one room.
Staff in the office are fantastic to work with. However, the island is experiencing many power outages (not hotel fault) so we were without power for two days (on/off) mostly off.
