At the meeting point of Australia’s Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, laidback Brisbane is spread around the meandering river running through it. The river’s arty South Bank is home to Australia’s largest modern art gallery, tranquil gardens and an artificial beach. Just opposite is the towering skyline of Brisbane's CBD, where many hotels in Brisbane city centre are located.
Nearby are the botanic gardens and Queen Street Mall, the most popular Brisbane shopping spot. More shopping centres are found all over the city, and the out-of-town malls include one in the Indooroopilly suburb by the foothills of Mount Coot-tha.
This green hill offers fabulous city views and has a planetarium, nature reserve and yet more botanic gardens. In Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary to the south you can hug one of the loveable animals, while Australia Zoo – Steve Irwin’s legacy – is a good day trip.
Brisbane is a very leafy city and one of its parks – Wickham Park – contains the Old Windmill, Brisbane’s oldest building. To the north-east, the Fortitude Valley suburb is known for its vibrant music scene and Chinatown. Across the river in Woolloongabba is The Gabba or Brisbane Cricket Ground, and nearby is the bohemian West End district.
As well as central accommodation, Booking.com also offers hotels near Brisbane Airport in a north-eastern coastal suburb.
Easy city to find our way around and great public transport...
Easy city to find our way around and great public transport (trains and ferries). Fantastic dining options and beautiful parks. Love the rooftop bars and views over the river. Highly recommend Felons bar and restaurant for a relaxing way to spend an afternoon by the river. Lots of vegetarian/vegan restaurants. Would recommend City Bowl (delicious Chinese food) and Zazata as a fine dining Mediterranean option.

I have visited Brisbane many times.
I have visited Brisbane many times. Mostly for medical specialist appointments or to attend music events. My stays are generally not for long periods - a night or 2. My usual transport to the city is by car with a handful of air travel arrivals. Each visit has been trouble-free. I find
I manage driving in the traffic well & the times I use public transport has been easy. Each accommodation venue I have stayed at has more than met my needs. Because my time in Brisbane is limited for convenience I usually order food delivered so can not comment on places to dine. As a visitor, I truly have no complaints.

I like to walk around Brisbane.
I like to walk around Brisbane. The river is fantastic and the restaurants amazing. There's a lot of construction going on that means detours for pedestrians and I would love to see street and route signage improved. I ate at Greca, out of this world, and Olive and Angelo's, also very good. Tip for travellers: always book eateries in advance - Brisbane is such a party city.

We got a bad night sleep.
Other that that it was good.
Very clean-i walked barefoot to the basement where I parked the car- I loved how clean the floor was on my feet.
Staff were helpful.
Did not eat there.
Atlas Apartments is in a perfect location close to South Bank and the rest of Brisbane city.
Short walk to restaurants, as well as Convention Centre, Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), Museum, Art Gallery.
Southbank also offers great walking paths along the river, great during the day or a romantic evening stroll.
The room was well equipped with kitchenette and utensils, fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer
parking was also available
Small hotel on Kangaroo Point, across the river from Brisbane's CBD (downtown). We had a nice 2-night stay. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Spacious room with full size fridge and cooking facilities. Chris at the front desk is very helpful. We recommend taking the short 2-3 minute walk eastward (turn right as you leave the hotel, then left at the river) to Medley Cafe for a lovely breakfast; the cafe is set amongst trees and overlooks the river.
The pool area was fantastic. The location was great. 5 minute walk to free ferry. Quiet spot but close to city. Parking was also cheaper than cbd apartments. We had a one bedroom unit at the back of the complex that overlooked the pool. The apartment was spacious with a large balcony. We booked this apartment because of the affordable price compared to the city. It was a quick walk to the river to view the fireworks display.
Hotel Alpha was a really great place to stay located super close to everything! Definitely the place to be if you're after accommodation within the city heart. All staff were super friendly & helpful + we had a huge room with a really comfortable bed. Also the block out curtains are a huge win if you like a sleep-in or even if you've had a big night out in fortitude valley.
The location was perfect for our visit as was just a short walk to the gabba and a short walk to southbank. It's a bit further if you need to get to CBD but not that much further. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful, we felt very welcomed . Loved that there is a balcony and It was comfortable to sleep. The hotel is clean and the pool and spa was great!
Great location near Brisbane city centre. If taking the AirTrain from the airport, the hotel is near both Roma Street and Central stations. Roma Street station is a bit closer and the walk is on more level ground, so I would recommend using Roma Street station.
Staff were very friendly, and complimentary hand sanitiser was a nice bonus given the present times.
everything and more in this beautiful breath taking views of Brisbanes CBD easily routed to where I needed to get too rooms were good sized and very quiet the breakfast buffets definitely a must when staying and the staff were absolutely warm and welcoming with a touch of quirky humor loved it definitely a must stay when visiting 10/10
The location is walking distance to central Brisbane CBD and Southbank. There are lots of food places within walking distance. There is parking on site though limited spaces for $28/ night and a narrow typical city parking. There was a hair dryer and a straightener in my room. They provided toiletries.
The location is amazing - easy walk to the best of Brisbane...Southbank, West End, the CBD, Botanic Gardens and more. The well laid out apartment that made 8 days of self catering easy. The free carpark which isn't something easy to get in Brisbane's inner city.
We loved the complimentary breakfast included with our room and the hotel's location in the CBD area. The room was clean, had a wonderful view and assisted us with our needs. The hotel has a gym and laundry room which was also very handy.
The Vehicle Parking Service is exceptional, and the Hotel Staff is very Professional and Friendly.
Also, the location is unbeatable, Brisbane Southbank Park is stone throw distance and Brisbane CBD is literally right across the river.
Hotel interior is beautiful and the rooms are.excellent, overlooking the CBD and Brisbane River, as well as Southbank.
Close to CBD shopping and restaurants. Bed was the comfiest bed I've ever slept on.
Location and ammenities are fantastic. Easy walk to most of the things you would want in Brisbane CBD and Southbank. Easy access to accomodation and great view of Storey Bridge, particularly at night.
The room was very spacious, but dated. The room reminded me very much of 90s hotel rooms I used to sometimes stay at with my parents as a child.
Great CBD location.
This property is located right in the heart of Brisbane and an easy walk not only to CBD meetings but also Southbank, a great entertainment/restaurant district.
Nth in particular. I don't know why hotels in Brisbane are so high priced. We had to book Turbot because it was the cheapest one near the city that night.
