    Chitose was just a stopover for us to get from Niseko back...

    Chitose was just a stopover for us to get from Niseko back to our country. The airport has more than enough entertainment to occupy us. It gave us a chance to do some last minute souvenir shopping and also buy bento boxes to eat on the plane.

    The only reason we stayed in Chitose was to take the bus up...

    The only reason we stayed in Chitose was to take the bus up to Lake Shikotsuko. We didn't do any hiking, so a half day was plenty for this part. There aren't many dining options in Chitose if you are on foot (we traveled by train), and very little in the way of other attractions in town. It seems to be mainly a convenient place to stay after you fly in from the nearby airport.

    It is inconvenient to check in, the heating is not warm enough, it is difficult for us to fall asleep at night. There is no restaurant nearby, and the transportation is inconvenient. I will not make a reservation next time.

    We had to travel to Chitose as we needed to fly out from New Chitose Airport. Nonetheless, we decided to stay here for 2 days to visit Lake Shikotsu & the airport for it offers many attractions. We really enjoyed the lake (very scenic!) and the airport - Royce Choc Factory, Doraemon Waku Waku Skypark etc. We got around Chitose in a rental car and the free shuttle the hotel provided. There were also plenty of souvenirs available at the airport for some last minute shopping.

    Very close to airport, as well as several ski stations. it is cheaper than Sapporo city, and even if it does not have as many restaurants and places to visit as a big city may have, there are plenty of restaurants, parks and duty free malls and is very quiet place.

    Queen’s Hotel is conveniently located 5 min walk from Chitose train station, 2 stops from the airport. We arrived late and left early the next day but it was no problem for check in and check out. We really appreciated the onsen. There is a free shuttle to the airport (not the other way around) at 6.25, 7.05, 7.45, 8.25 and 9.05. You have to book the day before at the reception. We booked the 7.05 and went down for check out at 7.00, our driver was already waiting for us and took us to the airport in 10 min.

    I place a high value on hotels located in airports whenever we need to travel for many hours. On this trip, we began in Kahului, Maui to Honolulu, to Haneda Airport and finally, more than 24 hours later, we arrived at the Air Terminal Hotel. It was a welcome sight! Thankfully, check in was quick. The breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of delicious foods. With: our tummies satisfied, we were soon ready to continue our vacation.

    This is the best place to stay in Chitose. The price also very reasonable with all complete facilities. The room very spacious with lot of space to park your big luggages. 7eleven store is next to the door. Really convenient. Taxi charges from hotel to airport is around 2000-2500yen only and takes around 10minutes to reach airport! Really recomended for those who want catch the flight in early morning

    Free breakfast is a plus point although just a basic breakfast provided. The location of the hotel is good as it is just next to train station. Those with car rental can park the car at opposite car park building and it is free. It is just 15 minutes away from airport or rental car return.

    Near to the airport. I would strongly recommend travellers to spend the last night at this hotel so that you can travel hassle free to airport in 10 mins. They even provide free shuttle to airport which is even more convenient when you need to catch an early flight or depart at 6.30am.

    I spent a night behind taking an early plane back from Chitose. It is modern, conveniently located near the airport for a last or first stay traveling Hokkaido. But it is surely more than just a base camp for a longer stay, price and performance was excellent.

    Airport shuttle service is provided by the hotel but only up to 11 am. There are pick ups from the airport to the hotel at designated timings. Public bath is available though it is a little small. Lobby has a place for refreshments for guests. :)

    Excellent location close to the station, only 2 stops from New Chitose airport. Good breakfast. We arrived late and left soon after breakfast, so didn't see much of the area. There was a river with walking path nearby, which went past a salmon farm.
