One thing I was kind of annoyed is that some neighbors dogs kept barking all night.

Hostal Las Palmas exceeded my expectations, the room was nice, the outside made me feel like I was in a cabin deep in the jungle and breakfast was delicious while our waiter Vinicio was very professional (Unfortunately I am not sure that was his name) also the staff was very courteous and helpful when I left my keys inside my room.

The staff at this hotel are alone worth the stay, they are friendly, helpful and very honest. I left a pair of earrings at the hotel one time. They actually tracked me down and asked me if I wanted them to return them. This is very unusual here in Ecuador and it is nice to stay in a place with such friendly, honest people. The facilities are comfortable and the breakfast is exceptional given the price of the hotel. The location is very convenient, you can walk to several very good restaurants and the town center. There is a laundry across the street, a little market next door and several restaurants close-by, which is particularly useful if you arrive tired and muddy from a trip "adentro". Very nice place.

There were a few ants in the room, but it's the Amazon so what can you do, ya know.

Staff recommended a fantastic village to visit, Indichuris, and it was a highlight of our trip to Ecuador.

The only issue for us is that it is located at a busy intersection and the drivers are generally inconsiderate. There really isn't anything the owners can do about it. So, I recommend taking earplugs. I used them and slept very well. My friends who didn't couldn't rest well.

The hostal/hotel rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The location is very convenient making walking to most of the restaurants and the Malecón (boardwalk) very easy. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The property is beautiful with all the flowers. Plenty of hot water in the shower.

We stayed two nights and the second night our neighbors played music into the early morning. Apparently the walls are not very soundproof.As a result, the music was easily heard in our room. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

Nice little place, centrally located. Super nice and helpful staff, also they offererd to store our bags and valuables while we were gone into the Amazon for a few days. Rooms facing the inner courtyard, which we stayed in, are very quiet, even though it is in the middle of town.

-worst sleep ever, the hostel is located right next to a street which is extremly loud at night, please bring earplugs, the windows cant be closed properly -issues with locking the door, the key kept getting stuck -really thin walls, could hear conversations of other people -price/quality ratio

it was about the noisiest place I've ever been in. Thankfully, about 10:00 PM, the street traffic started to calm down. My room was on the second floor and was "open" to anyone passing by on the communal balcony so there was no privacy. However around 7ish the manager turned the overhead balcony lights on. Even with all of my drapes closed it was bright as day in my room! However, about 10ish, he turned the overhead floodlights off so that was good that I could finally go to sleep what with the noise and bright lights.
