This is by far the best place I've stayed in China and it's all because of Merry, the host. She honestly will make your days in Zhangjiajie INCREDIBLE. Firstly, because she knows everything about the park, having worked there for many years. If you follow her suggestions, you'll really feel like you had the most of the place. Her meals are out of this world, freshly cooked vegetables, tofu, mushrooms, with that "homey" feel, that change every day. She can pre-book tickets and arrange transportation, in case you need. It's possible to do laundry, free of cost. Her place is less than a 5-minute walk from the main entrance of the park. Rooms are also large, clean, comfortable and quiet. I can't wait to go back to her place!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Yolo resort! The location inside the national park allows to visit many places with only a low amount of tourists in the morning. Also, the resort has a beautiful sunset location within ten minute walking distance. The staff helped us to make the best of our two night stay by recommending great routes avoiding the main tourist group flow! Excellent experience. We strongly recommend :)

The best value hotel we've stayed at in China. Lucas and his staff organised pretty much everything, meaning we could just enjoy the park and relax in the surroundings. Transfer to and from the airport is very reasonable and advice on avoiding queues within the park saved us a lot of time (all the tourists start from the East gate and queues are huge). The hotel itself is very comfortable with big rooms and a nice outside dining area. Pool area and games room also mean there's lots to do for kids.
Only a 5-minute walk from Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Destination Youth Hostel features private guest rooms and simple dormitory rooms with free Wi-Fi.
